I can honestly say I have been going to Jasmine buffet for years. The one thing I can appreciate about Jasmine buffet is that they keep the food replenished and the overall restaurant is fairly clean. The service of the staff is very friendly and always making sure you have what you need. I can't speak on anyone else's experience only my own and the people there are very welcoming. There are huge selections of food to choose from and it's very fresh. My favorite on the bar are the crab legs and the fried shrimp however all of the other options are good too. Whatever the seasonings they put on their fried whole shrimp and crab legs, are so good!!. The best thing about the buffet is, for them to include the seafoods like shrimp, mussels, raw and fried oysters, claims and crab legs, the price of the buffet is 16.99 I believe don't quote me but I'm thinking it is. That's a decent price for all of the different selections of food you have to choose from. Various soups, various red meat, pork and chicken prepared different ways, you also have a sushi bar towards the back freshly made as well as the hibachi station. Not to mention the desserts. There is something for everyone. This month alone I've eaten at Jasmine Buffet twice. One with a friend and by myself the second time. Although the crab legs isn't the full big ones like snow crab these are a little smaller but so good. There are not a lot of asian buffets around Charlotte that I know of and I'm from here but, there are some on the out skirts. I'm not too quick to go to everyone's buffet spot mainly because of the cleanliness of the establishment. I'm always paying attention to the inspection grade because that's important to me. I love asian food. If I'm not at Jasmine buffet then I'll go to other places around the city like Akahanas it's a smaller restaurant than the location in Gastonia or Belmont. It's a chill spot that is known for their sushi but has a long list of menu items to choose from. All and all if your wanting food buffet style that is worth the money to spend and to feed all of your family if it's for lunch or dinner, I encourage you to check them out. Again, others may have a different opinion about Jasmine buffet however for me, I've always had a great experience from the host all the way down to the staff and waiters. I always try and make sure I give them a tip because the service is good and the staff is very kind and friendly why not? Check them out if you haven't already. They are located off of Westinghouse near South Tryon not too far from the Steecreek urgent care if you're familiar with the south end of town. If you're coming up South Tryon away from downtown you would take South Tryon all the way until it intersects with Westinghouse at the light. You'll then make a right at the light on Westinghouse and it's the first left turn into the parking lot. There is also a family dollar in the same plaza beside it and York crossing restaurant. If you are getting off of I-77 to Westinghouse You'll make a right turn getting off I-77 and take it all the way up until it intersects with South Tryon street and you'll cross over south Tryon and make the first left and if your coming from steel creek area on South Tryon street traveling north in the direction of downtown you will make a left turn on Westinghouse and make the first left. There are so many ways to get to Jasmine Buffet however, I thought I would share from the main intersection of South Tryon and Westinghouse. Sorry for the long review. Next time I go back I'll take pictures of the food. 🙂 Oh..before I forget, Jasmine buffet can be very busy on the weekends so, it's best to go...
Read moreI arrived and immediatley went to the bathroom to wash my hands and there was vomit all over the bathroom floor which made me a lil bit nervous however i decided to stay and enjoy a meal. I started with hibachi and sushi. The sushi was kind of warm and the hibachi wasnt good at all the noodles were hard. The salad bar was literally just lettuce, green onions and dressings. No tomatoes. Cucumber or onions which was weird. I tried a few items and everything was barely warm. Flavor wad ok. I stayed for an hour and a half hoping to see them put out fresh food and the only thing they replenished or replaced was the fried chicken which was the best thing that i had. The waitress was constantly coming by to literally check my plates and what i was eating. I go to the bathroom and i literally find the waitress peeking around the corner at me while im washing my hands then she speed walks off. I was irritated at the point and took a few more bites which i ended up spitting out in my napkin and decided to leave. There was no check or ticket on my table so as im walking to the front the waitress is literally chasing me. I say im going to pay. When i asked how to go about paying for future references she acts like she doesnt understand english and gives me a ticket with an attitude. I leave no tip and probably will not be going back which sucks because i really wanted to try this spot based on the reviews. Maybe i came...
Read moreI just knew I was about to get me some good hot Chinese food like back home, walked in and the atmosphere and scenery was beautiful. But first it aggravated me that I was told I had to sit and the back because I had a stroller, which I was gone take my two year old out and sit her in a booster seat and fold it up. Was sat on the side where absolutely NOBODY was sitting at. But got over it and started to eat and the FOOD WAS EXTREMELY COLD and distasteful. But I stayed because my grandmother and son was so excited about going there, I was to but was extremely disappointed very quickly. Tried the hibachi bar and that was pretty good and the only thing I had hot, but the area was extremely DIRTY, and he burnt my eggs. And when I asked my waiter why was all the food cold he replied with “ Because of the extreme hot weather outside we cut the air up in the restaurant so it makes the food cold, so you need to pick from the bottom” and at that moment I was in to total disbelief. I’ve been living in Charlotte for two years and been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile now, but I don’t think I will ever...
