New York Diner — Restaurant in Charlotte

It's been quite a while since I've taken the time to go out for breakfast (albeit a late one). But this meal was definitely worth the wait. Breakfast specials are good until 11am. After this time, the price goes up approximately 1$. I ordered extras including orange juice, coffee and extra meats and the price for both of us was still under 24dollars. Which was pretty extraordinary given the large portions that we were served. The restaurant was pretty busy the entire time that we were there. But the amount of to go orders dwarfed the dining in patrons considerably. The thing that I most enjoyed was the size of the booths. They were quite expansive and allowed you plenty of room. My friend is 6'8" and he even commented on the amount of room available in the booths. Unlike most other restaurants, where you are cramped into a seating area. The booth seats were comfortable and nicely padded. The restaurant and restrooms were all very well-maintained and clean. The lighting in the restroom was motion sensor activated, as were the paper towel dispensers. All touch free. If you are in the area, or even if you're not; take the time out to treat yourself to a fantastic meal at a reasonable price in a relaxed atmosphere. So came in with my wife to eat the steak and eggs once I placed the order, the waitress came back to me and said how would you like your steak? I told her medium I received my food both steaks well done my wife was hungry. She ate hers. I told the waitress I asked for medium and its well done she said, what would you like another one I said yes, have them just cook It medium rare waiting, waiting and waiting then they brought me the bill. I told the server where’s the steak. She said we didn’t know you wanted another one. I told her but that’s what I told you that we talked about to make a long story short, which this is way too long already the Cook said that was medium, which he is 100% wrong. He probably doesn’t even know what a temp of a medium steak is definitely in denial at the end, I don’t really care about what the chef says when a customer asked that their steak is not cooked right replace it with the right one. There’s too many places in Charlotte restaurants to eat to have to deal with places that say eat what I give you. Shame on the New York diner And they’re so-called Chef manager that is in denial take a culinary class on temperatures. I can show you something’s or two for am a chef in the Charlotte area. I ordered the silver omelette, Onions, mushroom and cheese and for $2 more you can get turkey bacon. Just to let you know, I thought the bacon was on the side but they put it in the omelette which was fine but I'm just giving you a heads up so you don't assume the same thing I did.

11-12-17 update review: Whenever I go here I usually get my order to go but today I ate there. Fist thing my servers head wasn't in the game today. I'm telling her my order and she's making mistakes while reading it back to me. When you get your eggs scrambled with cheese here they ask you if you want the cheese on top or mixed in. I told her mixed in and she still brings it out on top, so when I remind her what I said she just says I know and looks at me. I just kept the eggs because I didn't want to send them back and have to wait for them. I don't know what kind of pancake mix they use but I didn't like the pancakes either so I won't order that ever again, they just didn't taste right and usually pancakes soak up the syrup. Not these you have to keep dunking them in the syrup for them to soak the syrup up. I like coming here because it's so close to me but I might have to change up and try someplace else for a while until they get their stuff together...
