Sprinkle — Restaurant in Charlotte

My first time there. Unfortunately for me, it was a bad experience. 😕 I was so excited to try their menu. I’ve been buying local more often these days. And rather than go to Clean Juice or Green Brothers like I always do, I decided to give their menu a try.

It’s a beautiful location. Very inviting.

Some really cool offerings on their menu, including oxygenation. I’m going back and giving them another try, anyways. Some are always talking about shopping local but can’t be bothered to give a business a second look after a first bad impression. I’m willing to be the exception.

I had gone in for a smoothie and a wellness shot. When I walked in I wasn’t sure what to order so I asked for a minute while I decided, but then the employee took a while to come back to the counter. In the middle of preparing my smoothie, she says they had run out of wheatgrass for the wellness shot so I asked to replace it with Spinach. This happened after 10 minutes of waiting. ⏳ After 20 minutes, she realized I wanted my shot To Go. It was probably my fault because I didn’t mention it either. The employee handed me the smoothie and I didn’t drink it until I got to my car. At which point I realized it wasn’t completely blended. I had chunks of fruits and pieces of kale floating in my drink. Kind of what my smoothies look like at home when I use my old blender. 🙄 So my smoothie sat in my office fridge until I got home and ran it through the Ninja blender twice. 😩 But it tasted like one of those haphazard smoothies I try to make at home when I’m running out of produce. 😕

The wellness shots were perfect 👌🏽 though. I’ll go back for those. I loved the packaging. The bag turned over in my car but didn’t spill a drop. 🙃

The smoothie however was kind of a waste of money. Juices tend to be more expensive than a Venti espresso drink from Starbucks, and I’m okay with that. Also I’m used to drinks like these taking less than five minutes to make. Plus, places like Clean Juice offer all organic ingredients. So, it will be hard for me to come back.

OVERALL, a nice atmosphere. Perfect for hanging out with friends. Not a quick stop. Expect to be there a while. Not a great customer service. Employees didn’t seem to be ready for service. And the taste on the smoothies isn’t the best. I did hear another customer complaining about the taste of her smoothie.

I really wanted to like this place but it definitely needs some work. I got the Doctor's Order Smoothie and the taste was delicious but the place, and the service needs work. After waiting a few minutes I ordered my smoothie. The first smoothie I ordered I was told that they were out of bananas so I just switched to something with no bananas. I waited while the young lady made two others smoothies in front of me. The young lady explained she was new and that was her second day but was not well trained at all. She shook the blender at one point when they smoothie wouldn't blend well instead of just stirring or adding more liquid. She didn't juice things that needed to be juiced but instead just put them in the blender to save time. The juicer was dirty while I was there and she kept saying she needed to wash it but didn't have time and was glad I ordered a smoothie and not fresh juice. From beginning to end it took at least 20 minutes from ordering until I left and it was only 2 people in front of me and both had ordered before I walked in. I absolutely loved my experience as soon as I walked into this establishment. The owners are very knowledgeable and very professional, not to mention the tasty treats. I'm not sure what their secret is but I have have never tasted a juice or smoothie that compares fo theirs. It must be their awesome vibes mixed with their fresh ingredients along with a sprinkle of magic. My body immediately felt elevated once I started drinking my juice. I got a level of customer service from Kimberly that you just cannot find at these other places. So many juice bars are popping up and handle their customers like a fast food joint. She takes her time greets you with a smile and answered every single question we had without making me feel like I was annoying her. She had a flow of customers come in, to go orders, and still was able to provide personalized attention to us. I highly recommend Juice Box Juice Bar if you want more than just some liquid in a cup. They truly are passionate about their craft and for that I am thankful because to many businesses just want you money and dont truly care about...
