For my girlfriend's 50th birthday, she wanted a big party with all her friends. I called Tyber Creek a few months in advance and they reserved the upstairs bar area for me for free. A few days before the event, I called back and ordered the medium size Party Package, which they assured me would be enough for 50 people. I, also, asked that they be ready with 50 shots at 7pm for the birthday toast and reminded me I might want to bring a cake (Oops!)

When we got there about 6pm, they took the cake off my hands and assured me it would be brought up at 7pm. We went upstairs to find they had the upstairs bar area set up. We had a dedicated bartender and waitress (plus others who helped out as need be). They clearly had already been briefed about the shot, food and cake. And nobody went long without a drink in hand.

They started setting out the food, with hot food over sterno, plates, etc. By the end of the night, I was pleasantly surprised that there were still a few chicken tenders and some dip left - but not much! Good value for the money and a real pleasure not having to order any more food part way through the party.

At 7pm sharp, they brought the cake up, having already put the candles on it, along with plates, forks and a knife. The bartender was just finished pouring the shots. I didn't have to remind them, which was very impressive.

At the end of the night, my sweetheart managed to twist her ankle, so I whisked her away home. It wasn't until the next day that I found out we'd left several gifts, mostly wine, at the bar. They had put it ALL in the office and kept it safe until we picked it up. That really says something about the honestly and ethics of the staff.

I highly recommend Tyber Creek Pub for groups of 50 or more. Very professional and a pleasure to work with. And having had the occasional beer there, I know it is a first rate neighborhood...

I was wanting to try out different pubs and eateries around Charlotte with a friend and thought it would be neat to check this place out due to the good reviews. However upon entering tonight with my friend we didn't feel very welcomed. When we came in, although we were greeted by the bartender, I courteously asked if we should wait to be seated or if we are welcome to sit anywhere (being a hostess at a restaurant myself, I simply didn't want to be rude and seat ourselves). No response, which was odd, so after a quick debate, we eventually sat ourselves at the bar. We were then abruptly asked if we would rather sit at a table by the bartender. Why though, when the bar is open seating and it's just the two of us? I understand that my friend and I look terribly young for being 23 and 24, however, that doesn't give anyone any reason to be rude like this. After graciously giving her our Id's for our beers she had a slight change in attitude. It could have been handled much better if she would have asked for our Id's first when we sat down if she wasn't so sure about our ages, which would have been completely understandable. Later a friend did want to meet up with us, so we felt it was better to get a table in the end. We respectfully closed our tab at the bar and took our table. The food wasn't too bad, hence the 3 stars. The service was mediocre. Loved the spinach dip. However I don't think I feel comfortable in returning...

This pub in suburban Charlotte offers a varied menu and a large selection of beers. The atmosphere is laid-back and the setting, especially the outdoor patio surrounded by vines and bushes, is inviting. Our dinner choices were the Shepherd's Pie with the traditional filling of lamb, carrots, peas and mashed potatoes and the Lamb Sliders with three different additions - curry, goat cheese, and smoked onion aioli. Both choices were delicious. The beer menu offered about 15 brews on tap and a wide selection of bottled beers. This looks like a good hang-out place too, with corn hole boards and a ping pong table just off the patio.

I haven't eaten alot of things here. But their spinach dip is so good. Everytime I come there is the same security guy who is really nice to is. Usually this placed is packed..either for sports watching or after the games. This time we had the pleasure of getting served by Lexi! She as awesome The prices varies on what kind of drinks you get and if you eat. There's 2 bars, covered patio, you can order drink through the small window as well. There's also a bathroom on both levels...however the lower level is small..with limited seating..so it can get really cramped really fast. Good vibes tho😁

Had a great time at the Tiber Creek Pub in Charlotte South End. We went for football Sunday. The bar was a cozy old school Irish pub. It was pretty busy. You had to order your food and drinks at the bar and then they brought it to the table. We had the buffalo wings which were very good, meaty, crispy and saucy and the blue cheese was great. The pretzel was good- soft and fluffy. The burger and fries were really good too. We ordered it medium rare but it came more rare which I absolutely love. Will definitely go back.
