I love the food from here, some of the best tacos around (especially the fish tacos). I had only ever gotten food from her via DoorDash until last night, I decided to try it out in person. Food was still amazing but overshadowed by the ambiance and service that wasn’t so amazing. The place was empty, just seemed like only takeout orders were being made. The restaurant was uncomfortably hot and I only saw an employee try to remedy this by the time we were leaving (turning on AC and closing the front door). The only person working front of the house acknowledged our presence when we came in but took nearly 10 minutes to come to us to take our order. We were told to sit anywhere and we sat close to the door because of how hot it was. There was really loud punk rock music playing that the only person in front of house seemed more interested in singing along to the music rather than pay attention to us (and not that I don’t enjoy this music or believe people have a right to sing along but it was too loud and not enjoyable while eating.) We got our chips before our drinks, and when we got our meals, they did not check on us. After we finished eating, our server came over and took our plates and I asked for the check. After 10 minutes of waiting I had to flag down our server (in the empty restaurant) in order to get our check. I was really disappointed because the food here is so good and I think this place could really be successful if they work on their customer service and attentiveness to the guests. I will definitely be back for take out but I don’t think I’ll be back for dine-in which is...
Read moreThis place looks nice, the food is “ok”?, the prices are a bit out of proportion, or the portions are a bit skimpy, one or the other… would not be an issue if some of the items that are usual to accompany mexican food would not cost extra… I ordered a “carne asada” burrito which, like tacos, in any decent Mexican food joint is usually garnished, eaten with salsa/pico/cream… mine wasn’t, it was just the tortilla wrap stuffed with a hint of carne and a hint of the usual pico type salad, and beans, but no salsa verde, roja, guac or any such thing… I asked if I could get salsa for my burrito and was told that it would not be included in the order, it needed to be paid for extra at 2.50 (they offered “Tabasco”?)… I thought 17.50 for a rather compact portion would be more than enough, but I guess we have come so far in the new age of consumism… next thing will be a pizza without the sauce (though it could be served extra?) crazy…
At “Chipotle” a burrito can cost between $9.15 and $13.00, depending on the size and ingredients. It comes pretty much with everything, at a good portion size… plus $guac$ and we are still at a better deal… tastier, and the salsa is included, if you want more, then...
Read moreGot dinner here last Friday and they didn't put my chips and guacamole that I bought (for $10) in my bag. When I got there to pick up my food, it was in a stapled brown bag on the counter. The girl behind the counter handed it to me and I didn't open the bag until I got home and then discovered that they forgot to put the guac and chips in the bag. I was also missing the three side salsas that I had ordered too. This is not the first time that salsas or mini free guacs were missing from my bag. I called the restaurant and the girl answered and argued with me that she was "certain that she put the chips and guac in my bag!" She refused to give me a credit for the $10 and instead said she had to contact the manager. She left me on the phone for some time, at least several minutes, then came back and said she couldn't reach the manager by phone and that he wasn't answering the phone when she tried to call him. She said she would call me back when she heard back from him to give me the credit. Well, it's now Sunday afternoon and I haven't received any phone call back or credit for the $10. This is the last time we will be going here...
