The service was great but the goodness stops there. The rice was bland, the beans were terrible. I don't know how they were so flavorless. They could have used canned refried beans and that would have been much better. The ground beef was salty and the portions were tiny. I ended up getting it to go after eating almost half of it and later feeding it to my dog. She enjoyed it so I'm giving them two stars instead of one.

This place is clearly marketed to dumb gringos who have no idea what good or even half decent Mexican food tastes like. I wanted to like it since I live within walking distance, but this place is easily the worst Mexican restaurant in Chattanooga. I would know I've eaten at most of them.

First, let me say that we had been here frequently under the the previous owners. Still, this is obviously a family run operation, which is great! We were welcomed and seated quickly. Kevin was our server. My wife asked if this was the same menu (obviously, to us, it was). His response was "Yes, but better". I thought that was pretty arrogant considering the previous owners had a very successful business for well over a decade, but okay let's see if he can back up that statement. We ordered our favorite items from the menu. Honestly, I must say that he was exactly correct. The items we ordered were the same but better. No Bueno. Do not know why I went again. Probably because of the outdoor seating with a good breeze. Peaceful and good music. Taco salad was more like a taco soup. Beef, lettuce, half a slice of tomato and a little cheese. Promise you, it was soup that one could eat with a spoon. The other "cheap" tasting meal was a thinly pounded chicken breast (to be expected) covered with cheese and frozen vegetables with rice and beans. A very cheap version of a meal. A microwaved meal would have tasted better. It actually was terrible and it probably was microwaved. I hate the food is terrible. I truly would like to go back however, I'm finished trying.
