Me and a friend meet there for a business meeting the atmosphere was really cool. Had dollar bills stapled all over the walls and post. Had the feel of an old New Orleans Shaq on steroids LOL. The server was very polite greeting this with a wonderful smile performed a very good job I could not say much more than I felt right at home. They're well known for their chicken livers with my friend had and thoroughly enjoyed. I had a two piece chicken coleslaw and baked beans. I tried their house sweet tea wish fit in perfect here in the south. 4 out of 5 stars for just the tea alone. Now to get onto the meal keep in mind I am a chef so I can be brutally honest at times I have a big passion for food. I would not call the food bad it was good they had a lot of room for improvements. The batter that they used on their chicken was very good crispy the meat was cooked throughout thoroughly. Well like I said old slaw was probably my highlight of the plate. The baked beans were okay definitely need Improvement a little bit more brown sugar possibly. I see potential in this restaurant. If you're looking to go to a place to hang out with friends and have a good time this is definitely the right place to go to for us locals. Sporting outdoor bars give you a beach feel. Collective art decor was well chosen it makes you feel like you're on vacation even though you're right on Lee Highway. Definitely a good place to go after a long day of work. Prices I would say they were definitely competitive considering what the food was you were definitely getting your money's worth. Sporting a large selection of beer and alcohol mixed drinks. I definitely will go back I like to see the girls that's going to take place with this restaurant. I hope the owners do not take this is bad criticism towards them I believe they're on to something really big. And looking forward to seeing the restaurant be better tomorrow than it is today thank you for reading my review have...

Dear Champsy’s Management,

I wanted to share my recent experience at your Lee Hwy location. We ordered our food 30 minutes in advance and decided to pick it up through the drive-thru. Upon arriving, we waited for about five minutes before being acknowledged. When the window finally opened, the young woman at the window simply looked at us without saying a word. It wasn’t until my boyfriend greeted her that she responded.

She informed us of the total charge of $60.09, and my boyfriend handed over his credit card for payment. After printing the receipt, we noticed an unexpected upcharge of $1.50. While this amount is minor, it’s important to communicate any additional charges, especially when dealing with customers’ money. The issue here is that we had to ask her about the charge ourselves.

When we handed the receipt back to her for clarification, she looked at it, handed us our food, and closed the window without providing us with a copy. We waited another five minutes before she reopened the window. Again, she simply looked at us until my boyfriend requested a copy of the receipt, which she finally provided.

My concern is not only with the unexpected charge but also with the overall customer service we received. The young woman’s demeanor was cold and unprofessional, and we were not offered any thanks or apologies for the lack of communication regarding the upcharge or the delay in providing our receipt.

I wanted to bring this to your attention as I believe that clear communication and courteous service are essential, especially when customers are paying premium prices.

Thank you for your time, and I hope this feedback helps improve future customer...

Seating myself as the sign stated, I waited for a waitress to attend my table. And waited...Then one shows up for the two gentleman beside me but ignored my presence. I'm guessing I wasn't one of her tables to wait on so I finally stood up and went to ask one of them to wait my table. Finally a waitress comes by to give me a menu, take my order, very nice young lady. She returns, I ordered the chicken liver plate with slaw and baked beans and sweet tea. The food arrives but no sauce to dip the livers in so I ordered some Champys sauce. I waited...waited...really? So I ordered it again and it finally showed up. The food: Fried chicken liver plate for $9.75 was an ample serving, good with the sauce. The sauce was good, not spicy or hot. The sweet tea was $2.95 and good tea. The plate came with coleslaw which was average and baked beans which were average but good. I ordered the strawberry cake for dessert without looking at the menu. Big mistake! Champys thinks alot of there strawberry cake! For $6.99 a slice! Really!? Not ever again. So my total bill for one person was $21.51. Pretty high for fried chicken livers, a small serving of slaw and beans, sweet tea( a Southern staple), and an overpriced slice of cake. The decor is interesting and entertaining to look at as it's strung with colorful lights and memoribilia everywhere. The service was very poor in my opinion and restaurant service should be excellent if you expect customers to return. Must have plenty of business I assume. They obviously don't need any new business. The bill I thought was overpriced. Probably...

Champy's is a locally owned restaurant famous for its fried chicken and 40 oz beer. The atmosphere is super casual and laid back with signed dollar bills stapled to the walls, concrete floors, and a Mish match of table styles. I had the grilled chicken salad. It featured the most moist, lightly seasoned, perfectly cooked chicken, along with romaine, a sliced hard-boiled egg, cheese, onion, tomato, and dill pickle chunks. I ordered blue cheese dressing but ended up using very little as the chicken is so flavorful. My husband ordered the chicken tenders and fries. His fries arrived cold. This is a running family joke as no matter where he goes, his fries are always cold. He must have upset the fries fairy once upon a time.. We told the server this time (he normally suffers in silence) and she delivered piping hot fries immediately. Our server was attentive and food arrived shortly after ordering. This is one of our favorite places to eat in Chattanooga.
