Doty’s Diner — Restaurant in Chelmsford

My husband and I went to Doty's Diner for the first time today. We really liked it. We were seated quickly on a Saturday morning and served just as quick. Our waitress was friendly. I liked that there were healthy options on the menu and not just a bunch of greasy food. I got an egg white omelette with feta, asparagus, spinach, and broccoli. It came with home fries and toast. They even had caffeine herbal tea. I got the orange spice and it was amazing. My husband had a cheddar omelet with home fries, toast, and a side of corned beef hash. He had a pot of coffee. It came to around $45 with tip for the two of us. The restaurant itself is set up like a diner. You can sit at the counter or table. First time coming to this very unfriendly establishment. When I walked in nobody greeted me. A scruffy middle aged staff woman looked right at me and said nothing. I stood there for ( mins before finally asking a diner if I’m supposed to seat myself. When I sat myself the ratty lady put a menu in the table and walked away. Didn’t bother asking if I wanted coffee. When the rest of my party arrived about 2 mins after that we waited a full ten mins for someone to come over and ask for our drink order. Took about 5 mins to get 3 coffees. Another 10 for someone to return and take our food order. They were not busy… Food way overpriced. $13 for 2 fairness eggs ordered medium over easy arrived barely cooked and runny. Hash from a can. Soggy toast. This place sucks. Food and service SUCK....

Just came across Doty's while in Chelmsford. We didn't know what to expect and we were happy with the results. I ordered the Italian Omelet and my wife ordered the special of a avocado and bacon benedict. The Italian omelet had plenty of sausages and onions and peppers. The eggs them self were fluffy and good. I had the hash browns and they were just right nice and crisp on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. The special of avocado and bacon benedict. The tastes all blended together just right her only comment is there could have been a little more hollandaise sauce. The eggs was done correctly and she enjoyed the meal. Which is to say something cause benedicts are her thing. We'll add this to our collection of breakfast spots...
