Ordered DoorDash and honestly this is the worst Chinese food I’ve had in my entire life. Working in the service industry I don’t have much to spend and wanted to treat myself to lunch. My first mistake. The egg drop soup is just a cup of greasy oil with some egg in it. The ginger salad is just a container of chopped iceberg lettuce with a sprinkle of carrots and cheese which was weird the dressing was really sweet and gross. And for entree to top it all off I got the sesame chicken which again was inedible it’s like chewy rubber and then super sweet like syrup. The fried rice side was also cold and chewy. Will never get food here again. Fool me once you know.

The dining room is open but realize that you will still be served in plastic and Styrofoam take-out containers and plastic utensils. Drinks are bottled, there's no hot tea (water was Great Value). The young girl that "served" us was very sweet and friendly but not an experienced server. The food was fresh and tasty as always but we won't be back for dine-in. A little disappointed as we were really looking forward to a nice little night out but had to ask for utensils and ate without plates. Not saying don't go, just know what to expect. Can't understand why we couldn't use actual silverware and real dishes.

Yikes, not sure they really even try. The sesame chicken was overcooked and was mostly breading. The bland mush that accompanied the chicken. I didn't try the egg roll as it just looked like it was overdone I didn't want to offend my pallette anymore than I already had. Maybe the sushi but not me.

I have been eating at this establishment for about a year now and I feel that I have enough experience to write a fair and accurate review for this restaurant.

For starters, the restaurant has been purchased by a new owner and is now under new management. This has brought some changes that has mostly not been for the better. The wonderful egg rolls that the previous owner had is now gone and replaced with very greasy, store-bought, frozen egg rolls. They in my opinion are really terrible. The portions have been significantly cut down which takes away the great value you got with the previous owners. A lot of the dishes have been kept the same but others have not. What has improved is the turn around times for the food when you place an order. What used to be a long wait is now an instantaneous pickup. The staff is for the most part friendly and attentive and you never feel ignored when you go in there. The prices have stayed about the same but as mentioned before the portions have been drastically cut down so in reality there has been a price increase. The restaurant is very close and convenient and the closing hours are quite late which helps when you don't have time to make it to the other places that want to close by 8PM. The food is very average for a Chinese restaurant and not spectacular. You're not going to be blown away by it's quality but you're not probably going to be disappointed either. They run a clean, straightforward establishment so if you live in the area it would be worth a trip over there. If not, then maybe consider some other...

We have eaten here for years. Always good. Now, in honesty, it’s been about 6-8 months since our last visit, but I was not prepared for how bad this was. We ordered takeout for our whole family over $100. And everyone got something different. Mongolian beef, chicken lo mein, pepper steak, sesame chicken, hot and sour soup, dumpling soup, egg rolls. Everything except the egg rolls and dumpling soup was bad. And I mean BAD. When a 23 year old guy throws food away, there’s a problem. The fried rice was odd. Strange yellow color and just rice. No veggies. At all. The Mongolian beef was literally like they had taken a jar of Korean bbq sauce and dumped it in. There were FOUR pieces of meat in the pepper steak. The chicken lo mein tasted like fish. Sesame chicken was gummy and super sweet. The hot and sour soup was gelatinous and the tofu was slimy. The little fried noodles they gave with the soup were very odd. Small and old tasting. What happened guys?? How did it get so bad. This was a Sunday at 5 p.m. a time you’d think things would be fresh. It wasn’t and we were all really disappointed because we’d been looking forward...

We've been fans of GOLDEN CITY for a long time now. We still are! The reason that I express that we "still do" is because there have been two major events of recent that have impacted their business personally and professionally. They've had the COVID-19 restrictions and fears and they recently lost the owner and founder of the restaurant in a auto accident. That's a lot to work through! Now they have opened up their dining room and are serving in "to go" containers. That is ONLY thing that I don't like but I know it's temporary until we're past all the COVID-19 issues with the Health Department and excitable concerned patrons. The food remains excellent! The sushi is also just great! The service is attentive and friendly; everything that you want when you go out to eat. We value G.C. and they are a wonderful asset to...
