I feel like the food offers in quantity rather than quality, and waitress service is usually slow. There's only one waitress working during slow times, and two maybe in the middle of lunch rush, only one for each entire half of the restaurant. The restaurant has enough business that they don't have to cut corners on staff and their food, so I don't understand why they still are. The little China in chesterfield serves way better food than these guys. China town buffet always cooks their lo mein to rubber and only a few of their dishes do very well, the rest sit and get cold or stale, and who knows how often they refresh their salad bar, on multiple occasions ive gone and the lettuce and ham are starting to discolor, the carrots are drying out, and lots of their salad goods just aren't chopped finely enough. If its practically inedible, or if it doesn't get refreshed on the bar enough, then don't put it on the bar at all, that's just a sign its not a very popular dish. Maybe if they didn't waste so much food at the end of the day and took the time to put more quality into their dishes, the place would do better and wouldn't have to cut corners in...
Read moreI tried this pathetic excuse of a restaurant about this time a year ago. The food was cold, the buffet bar was nowhere the temperature it should have been, and nothing was good. I complained while there and stopped eating because I didn’t want to get sick. The owner or someone in charge, I assume, went about checking the buffet, twisting knobs under the warmers, etc. Then when it was time to leave, they still had the audacity to charge me. I know the health department was called on these people, and the health department actually called back to report that they made an unannounced visit and found serious problems with the temperature of the buffet bar and they were giving the restaurant a certain number of days to fix the problem. The person who did the reporting was contacted back and thanked by the health department for their reporting of the matter. It appears this did little good from the recent reviews which complain about food not being at the proper temperature. Perhaps another visit is warranted by the health department. Hmmm, that can easily...
Read morePeople were friendly but the food was horrible. Definitely not worth the price. Over $50 for 2 adults, 1 teen (priced as an adult) and 1 toddler.
We went there to celebrate my son’s transition from middle school to high school and were so very disappointed. It was one of the worst restaurant experiences we’ve had in a long time.
It was warm in the restaurant, which leads me to believe they have an issue with the A/C. They had a large fan blowing to circulate air.
The rice was dry. Every piece of chicken we tried, even soaking in sauce, was so dry we couldn’t eat it. The crab Rangoons tasted soured. The chocolate pudding was warm, not cold.
I understand the price of food has gone up, but if it’s going to be that high, the food should good, and at the very, very least, edible.
China Town used to be one of the best restaurants around…now I don’t think I can ever bring myself to go back there again. I don’t know what happened to make the...
