I order through UberEats for a corporate meal program. Upon deliver of the food, it was noticed a sandwich was missing. I reached out to the business to make them aware. Sometimes, the food is sitting there and mistakenly not given to the driver. I totally get things happen. I was speaking to an owner mind you, and was informed, it was my fault because the sandwich was never ordered. Not only was he wrong becuase he read the order out loud and it was there...(America for you...), but no apology for the mistake either (Why would he care..?). Not everyone can read a screen in the food business and I get that, I assumed the owner could... I was then transfer to the more competent manager/owner whose response was simply, "well if you want me to make it, you can come pick it up..." Quite honestly, with the lack of concern for a dis-satisfied client, this is one of the worst interactions I've had with an owner of a establishment who you'd assume cares about about their customer, business reputation, etc. Needless to say, these subpar sandwiches won't ever grave this corporate budget again... Sad thing is, there was an effort to shop local during the thick of covid shut down and they were a place we decided to ensure gets support as opposed to the chic fil a's and other corporate options. Lesson learned... Worst service and human...
Read moreI was on an adventure in South Jersey with my kid when we visited Cherry Hill. Before we left, I had a brilliant idea: to research the best cheesesteak in South Jersey. Chick’s Deli consistently ranked super-high on all of the various lists that we found, so we decided to give it a try.
As we drove, we missed the turn for the small street it’s on twice due to traffic and honking drivers. But on the third attempt, we finally managed to park and enter the restaurant.
We were greeted by a friendly staff and were immediately impressed by the variety of sandwiches they offered. We decided to try a few different ones to see what we liked best.
We ordered regular Philly cheese, Philly cheese with mushrooms, and pork with broccoli raabe. Each sandwich was delicious, and everyone loved all of them. The Philly cheese was melted and gooey, the mushrooms added a touch of earthy flavor, and the pork with broccoli raabe was a hearty and satisfying option.
Overall, we had a fantastic time at Chick’s Deli. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. We highly recommend Chick’s Deli to anyone looking for a great place to eat in...
Read moreI recently visited Chicks after seeing it on the list of best cheesesteaks. I figured that I would give it a try as it was ranked up there towards the top. To be 100% honest, I really don't see how it's even on the list at all. Its nowhere near at the top of my list in NJ and I haven't even been to many of the heavy hitters yet. I'm not bashing the place whatsoever, but it definitely wasn't anything to write home about. Not packed like I thought it would be and it definitely needed a LOT more cheese. The taste was good but for the high price and lack of cheese, I wouldn't buy one from there again. I'm sure there other food is good as well, but just don't go there thinking that you're gonna get a mind blowing cheesesteak because that's not happening unless maybe if you add extras to it....but at that point you'll be at $30 for a cheesesteak that you could've paid a lot less for elsewhere and won't have to add on extras. I was just very disappointed after having such high expectations on the way there.
So basically if you're looking for a top notch special kind of cheesesteak,...
