well...we waited a looong time for this and it's not worth the wait. first dead giveaway is when you walk into a bbq joint and the open kitchen is a few feet away and you don't smell anything it's a bad sign. pulled pork was dry and unseasoned: seriously. smoked brisket was waaay too smokey(all black, no pink at all) and stringy, dry and tough. the cornbread was tiny but ok. the mac n cheese was bland and gluey. the coleslaw was good, small victory. the key lime pie was tiny and ok. ice tea had an off flavor from coffee cross contamination maybe. decor was ok. not too friendly staff....depressed perhaps? prices high as a bonus. if you want good bbq and huge portions drive to Pinky's about less than 10 minutes away. the 1936 grill in the rod and reel parking garage is pretty good. this place is lucky it has a captive audience of addicted gamblers or otherwise it would not last 2 years. food is supposed to be a loss leader when it's subsidized by easy money. i'll try their breakfast but...
