We stopped in here at 7:30 on a Thursday morning based on a few breakfast reviews that we saw. We were deeply disappointed in the food and in the expectation That You Were Somehow supposed to digest while listening to a TV with news on. There were three of us and two of us were kids. You would think it's easy to please a kid but they couldn't. My fourteen-year-old ordered two eggs over medium with Canadian bacon and home fries. His leg showed up and they were okay but greasy and unseasoned. The Bagel look like it came from the frozen food department at Walmart and it bore little resemblance to ethnically correct unleavened food. The the home fries as they were called we're really nothing more than potatoes cubed to about 3/8 of an inch and then boiled to within an inch of their life and then the resulting Bush was thrown on a flat griddle on bad Grease and smashed beyond recognition. The effect was one of bad Grease injected into boiled potatoes that came with a crunch that let you know you just swallow trans fatty acids. Is Canadian Bacon came as 3 hockey puck shaped pieces about an inch and a half in diameter and about a quarter inch thick. It appeared to me as though they had been sliced from the big role and have been deep-fried. My scrapple likewise appeared to have been deep-fried. My over medium eggs were fine but unseasoned and greasy the little one had eggs in the same shape and potatoes in the same shape and bacon which have been deep-fried and was all twisted together. The orange juice was good the service was good and the coffee was barely passable. There is no enthusiasm here for serving food which is nourishing and which shows creativity or ingenuity or humanness. This is sort of some kind of post-industrial food with no soul. It made you feel no connection to the farm where to land and nor did it make you feel like you were living a good life. These are things good food does. In summary we found it kind of like a soulless attempt add stuffing calories into the people who would allow this into their bodies on a daily basis. I gave 1 star 4 service and one star for good juice and 1 star for passable bathroom. If you are looking for inspired food you may want to keep on going south of...
Read moreI am not a complainer unless I really find reason and I'm not a negative person unless I have a reason to be. Upon visiting my family over the weekend, it is a tradition that we order a large breakfast from Jo Jo's. Who ever took our order over the phone did not hear my niece say, "Sausage and egg" and thus they brought us a meal with everything but the sausage. I called and was told they did not hear the "sausage". The order should have been read back to make sure that it was correct from the first place. I was then told that they would deliver the sausage, but we would have to pay for the sausage since they did not charge for it. I was thinking since someone on that end made the mistake, that it would have been better customer service to apologize and say I will bring the sausage and since we made a mistake it's on the house. That's what I call good customer service, considering we are regular customers. I was so disappointed at them acting like they would be giving us dollars and dollars worth of free sausage. I don't cater to locals who can't be a little nicer. We'll have to find us another place to order out for breakfast. Very, very disappointed in the service. Makes me...
Read moreFive stars for the staff. Uber friendly and very attentive. That is why I feel really bad giving such a low rating. It was my first visit. While I believe my family enjoyed their food, I was seriously disappointed. I ordered the cream of crab soup and a crab cake sandwich.
The cream of crab had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. Even after adding salt, pepper and ALOT of old bay, it is without a doubt the most horrid cream of crab soup I have ever had. Beyond the complete lack of flavor, the soup had the consistancy of oatmeal. I could feel the gritiness of the flour in my mouth. And the crab cake was filled with imitation crab meat and other fillers. It was disgusting. And while I tried my best, I could not eat the whole thing. And I absolutely hate wasting food.
Again, the staff is wonderful, and I would have no problem going again, but maybe next time I will still with a burger or...
