I've been a patron since the place first opened up several years ago. It has a very pastel-candyland atmosphere that is amazing for kids, however the place is almost always empty.
The donuts are the best part. They always make them fresh right there in front of you and you can customize it or choose from a list of options. I love the apple pie one. They're not even that expensive for what they are. They have decent smoothies and coffee drinks to choose from as well.
However, some of their other treats can be incredibly expensive. I don't recommend any of the icecream or gelato (If they even have it in stock which they rarely do) because it is incredibly expensive. You could end up paying $12 for a pint of below average ice cream but I could get something wonderful at the grocery store for $5. And don't even think about the chocolates. They're way overpriced for what they are. As someone who has eaten a lot of gourmet chocolate, their chocolates rank very very low. If you want something decent, try Royal Chocolate.
Customer service used to be great back in the day but nowadays it's hit and miss. The owners are generally alright but the older woman who works there most mornings is very rude and always looks angry. I've never seen her smile and she always seems like she would rather be doing anything other than assist me. She is always brusque and never handles my order with care.
I went a few weeks ago and will not be going back because of the shoddy customer service I experienced. This place has really gone down hill since it opened. Still, the donuts are WONDERFUL if you do want...
Read moreSo they only have two doughnut flavors per day. Always vanilla and one other. The day we went the other flavor was red velvet. Which is fine, except that because I have a hard time finding my favorite doughnut (with a chocolate doughnut) I was very excited to go to a "custom" doughnut place. When we looked at the website it listed the doughnut flavors, but not that not all flavors were available daily. None of the icings are made in-house, and they all have high fructose corn syrup, which makes me sick. We ended up getting powdered doughnuts - just the basic doughnut and powdered sugar. The doughnuts were nice and hot, but took a very long time to get. We also ordered a doughnut sundae. That is, we ordered and paid for a doughnut sundae, but when it came it was just a basic doughnut and ice cream. They were out of whipped cream and the hot fudge machine was broken. Which probably should have been brought to our attention when we ordered. We also got gelato - a mistake. I was excited because they make their own and they had stracciatella, which I love (but possibly can't spell). It was way too sweet. It tasted like cold marshmallow fluff with chocolate bits added in. Also it took a ridiculously long time to get. I would understand the time lag if they had given us our order all at the same time when everything was ready, but they didn't. Things came out as they prepared them. First the sundae, then (after I asked) the gelato, then the two doughnuts rolled in powdered sugar. It was such a disappointment. I had really been looking forward to trying Amazing Glazed. But I'll never...
Read moreI heard about Amazing Glazed because a friend had posted about it in FB. So I was very excited to go to what I expected to be a donut shoppe, you know with DONUTS in CASES! But in fact what I did see was a quaint little what looked to be a candy store. A bit confused about that I quickly realized that this was a made to order kind of place. Not overly excited about that I figured I'm here in going to order something. My main interaction was with the lady who was making the cake donuts. Because the girl at the register didn't seem very enthused to be there or to speak to people. And the other woman there was busy working on yeast donuts. After standing in there I just decided to order off of their popular items board. I order 6 cake donuts. I would like to try their yeast donuts but they weren't ready yet, although they had been open for an hour already. All of this, what seems to be negativity aside (these are just my perspective of what went on that morning), these donuts are AMAZING!!! There is another similar don't shop in the area but Amazing Glazed is even better than that place. I think the main thing this quaint little shop needs is more exposure. I think everyone should try it! My only suggestion would be to go online and maybe decide on advance what you might like on your donuts to help speed up your process. I will definitely be going again! đ đ đ đ đ in my opinion. ...
