I ordered over the phone , a large half pepperoni, pastromi, hamburger, ham the other half chesapeake special. One order of cheese sticks and 3 extra sauces for the cheese sticks. I was told the cheese sticks come with one sauce . I was also told my total was $28.97 with the tax . The order was to take 20 minutes. I knew I had to pay cash before going so I planned on using the atm when I got there. The lady at the counter rings up my total and she says $33.42 . I say that is not the price they told me on the phone, it is supposed to be $28.50 or something close to that. I couldn' t remember exactly but I know how much because I wrote it down when the guy told me on over the phone. She say you dont have enough money , I say yes but thats not the price they told me , she says I forgot to add the extra sauces thats why its so much, I say the sauces were already included in the price that they gave me before. Okay half and half pizza should have been , rounding up $17.50 plus the cheese sticks rounding up $7 plus the three extra sauces rounding up $3 , thats $27.50 now to make $28.97 tax must be being charged around 5.5% . So now lets get to the actual bill , you can see the receipt they gave me , they are trying to charge me 11.5% tax . I am not from here but is tax at a restuarant 11.5% tax in Chesapeake? So how I am seeing this they over charged me for the pizza , over charged me for sauces and are over collected tax . Owner what is the tax rate for Chesapeake ? Owner is this receipt correct for what I ordered? Please explain this to me. Oh this did leave a bad taste in my mouth thats why 3 stars , but the pizza was hand tossed pizza cooked in a deep dish pan . Pizza was good. They did sell me the order for $28.50 . If I am wrong about this whole tax thing or the order total , I am sorry and I will edit my review. So please respond to my questions...
Read moreChesapeake Pizza is not a pizza restuarant, but a hypnotism scheme that seems to be primarily but not exclusively aimed at everyone ever born on earth ever. They will ultimately destroy us all, either through their mind controlling Chesapeake Special, or the real sinister salad selection (DO NOT BUY THE GREEK SALAD, IT WILL MELT YOUR TASTEBUDS BEFORE YOUR MIND)..... they will win.
(If reverse psychology with goofy subtext isn't your thing, I've got you too. As a resident of Chesapeake for my entire childhood and adult life, I've made many trips to and from this wonderful establishment.
THEY'VE BEEN CONTROLING YOUR MINDBUDS OF TASTES SINCE 1973.
Uh... like the guy says. They've been doing local pizza a long time. Friendly staff, amazing selection, and you're supporting literal hometown tradition. RUN AWAY, RUN AWAY BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!

Read moreFirst of all, some associates of mine recommended this restaurant as of recently. I've lived in Great Bridge for 10 years and have driven past it hundreds of times but had never given it a try. I arrive at 7:45pm. The signage posted at the door says, "11am-until the dough runs out." So, my family of four walk in and realize it's a "cash only" establishment. There's no sign saying, "Please, wait to be seated" or "Seat yourself" so, after ordering at the walk up counter (an $18 extra cheese 14 inch) we sit down in a booth. It's now 7:50pm. Just as we get comfortably sat, some guy who I assumed was the manager, approaches the table and in front of everyone nearby tells us we can't sit and dine in because they stop dining at 7:45pm. Embarrassment sets in. We get up and I tell him we've already ordered, he replies, "Y'all ordered takeout" after he goes to the back to verify. No sir, we didn't. The cashier never gave us an option, there's zero signage, and as first time customers... we were unaware. After making us feel unwelcome, he attempts to apologize but never offers any type of amends. I get it, though. It's closing time. It just needs to be posted or communicated properly. We get home...10 minutes away... and the pizza dough is so soggy in the middle, the slices are too limp to hold up and won't hold the cheese. We had to eat it with a fork. It had good flavor but overall not too far above average. The flavor reminded me of Chanellos but the quality and service was subpar, in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend, not because of my experience, but because it's overly priced...
