China Sun — Restaurant in Chesapeake

Big mistake! I just ordered shrimp foo young here. After two bites, it has gone straight in the trash. I only took a second bite out of complete disbelief that someone would actually have the audacity to serve food to the public this inedible! First, the fried rice had “beef” giblets mixed in despite NO mention of that on the menu; a problem if you don’t eat beef! Also a problem if you eat beef because beef it was far from. Next, the fried egg was spongey, covered in grease on top off being burned brown; yes, brown eggs! Lastly, the worst part of this garbage was the translucent, undercooked shrimp; clearly stale, frozen, tasted of iodine and bounced in my mouth like chewing rubber bands.

Simply, if you’re looking for dinner at China Sun, go grab some wet dog food and have 5 star dinner...

Ordered the Crab Rangoon, Fried Shrimp and General Tso's combo platter. The Crab Rangoon was cooked to perfection but the oil was old so it absorbed and tasted like a lot of things Crab Rangoon shouldn't. The General Tso's chicken was overcooked, and the sauce was lacking (darker in color than most other Chinese food places). The fried rice that accompanies the combo platter is not true fried rice, but the yellow rice with bits of pork thrown in. Finally the Egg Roll, though fried perfectly was only about 1/2 full and if it was supposed to be (I'm not sure if they are?) a pork fried egg roll, there wasn't any pork in sight. If you're looking to change things up, try Zheng Garden about three miles...

I have been a customer approximately 6+years if not longer, this is my first complimental survey and l must say l am glad and very pleased to offer up such a well deserved compliment, especially being that we are dealing in a time when food is so expensive and we're getting less for our money these days. However as with many times in the past my FAMILY received great delivery service even after forgetting to mention it was for delivery (which can be a problem in itself).to make a long story short , the food was hot , freshly cooked , and taste d as great is it looked and smelled kudos 2 China Sun restaurant, hope to have many more experiences...
