Little Italy Pizza is a new pizzeria located in Mt Pleasant Market Place shopping center in Chesapeake. Connecting roads are Mt Pleasant Rd and Centerville Turnpike. The restaurant location is within the former Casa Di Costanzo Pizza where the owners recently retired. I had my first meal from here Sunday afternoon. We did a carry out order that included 2 large pepperoni pizzas with a salad and an order of garlic knots. We made the order over the phone via the slice app so all we needed to do was go pick it up. Upon pickup we watched them remove both pizzas from the oven, slice them and box them and we were on our way. Within a few moments the pies were home and plated. The warm fresh dough of the pizza had just enough flexibility to semi fold the slice so that the point kept it's shape. The sauce was perfectly between sweet and bitter without being acidic. The cheese blend was excellent and the pepperoni was plentiful. These pies had no chance in **** and were swiftly devoured as were the salad and garlic knots. Excellent meal. Fair price and even though they were fairly busy just before 5pm when we picked up the order, the staff was on the ball and working like a well oiled machine! An easy 5 stars.

We tried eating here before and did not care for it. Tonight we decided after 2 years to try it again. If anything it has gotten worse. After sitting for quite awhile I finally said to the 2 women behind the counter that we were not carry out and needed some menus. She came and took our drink order and app order. She brought the calamari that was to be shared with no plates. I had asked for 2 marinara cups and got 1. When I reminded her she brought back some other sauce that was not the same. My husband ordered veal marsala. It looked Iike a bowl of water with a few spaghetti noodles and grey meat that we suppose was veal.but so tough he could not chew it. I ordered a chicken phiily...who can mess that up....I took one bite and was done. The chicken was those pre cooked strips you can buy at the grocery store and it was large chunks. Needless to say at 60.00 it was a total waste of time and money. Maybe if they used FRESH food not frozen and got someone who knows how to cook it might work but we will not be eating there again.

Throwing this out there because I think prior reviews may be keeping people from trying this place but they have new ownership, so maybe its worth trying again?? This place was formally Casa Di Costanzo and then has been sold twice since. It has been my favorite pizza place since the original owners had it, many many years back, but I never dined in there until last week (because I love the pizza so much) I realized I have been missing out!!! The Large Stromboli is amazing and was only $15. My husband and I shared it and had enough left for my son to eat dinner at home plus take some for lunch the next day. I also ordered the brushetta appetizer. I would have loved for it to have basalmic glaze on it but otherwise it was still delicious and was only $7. Give them some love and check it out! I saw complaints about wait times but maybe if they get busier, they can afford to hire more staff. 🤔

We've been here a few times before. Food was great as usual, restaurant was clean. Service was slow tonight but restaurant was busy so it was understandable. Problem was Food came to $28. We gave her a $20 bill and a debit card for the rest. Lady I think her name was Jamie on bill even asked if we wanted the $20 put to the bill and the rest on the card. Filled out bill and left cash tip. Something was bothering me about it but I didn't realize what it was when till we got home. She never put the $20 to the bill. So we paid $27 tip on a $28 bill? Busy or not that's inexcusable

Uodate She identified herself as the General Manager. By the time we got home you would of been closed for the day. We never got a recipt to take home to look either. But again the bill was we'll round up to $29 to make it simple. $29-$5 discount she gave us since it took so long - $20 we gave in cash = $4. Was charged $15 to the card and a $7 cash tip adds up to $18 tip on a $29 bill. I consider myself a good tipper but never more than a 50% tip

Update I sent that response to my wife so she can contact you. She has emailed you

Update We have received no refund. Will be striking this place from our...

Opted for the eggplant rollatini for appetizer and veal marsala for main entrée. The fresh, crunchy side salad appeared first with the Greek dressing on the side. Amount of all the contents of salad was more than generous. Next came the baked eggplant appetizer steaming hot and intertwined with plenty of spinach and cheese. This could be a satisfying meal all by itself. And then.......the main star of the show took front and center. The veal marsala, so juicy, so tender, and prepared with copious amounts of mushrooms and garlic took this dining experience to a whole other level. I was taken back to the Summer of 1990 when I enjoyed a few days between Rome and Florence savoring culinary delights while listening to the locals deliriously screaming "ITALIA, ITALIA" due to the Italian national soccer team's successes during the World Cup of which Italy played host. Throughout the meal Ariel made sure to check in to be sure all was perfect. She even found the time to entertain and delight with a wine tasting when I expressed interest in trying a glass. Next time you get the itch for Italian, give Little Italy a shot! You too will be singing out,...
