I Should've know when we pulled up and there was only one table inside, it was too good to be true. Usually its a madhouse. The employees were just sitting at the opposite end of the restaurant both looking miserable. Did not communicate with each other almost at all. You could feel the tension when you walked in. We walked in and sat waited for about 2 mins before someone ever walked over to us. We weren't even greeted at that pointed, we were just stared at until WE told her we were ready to just order everything. We had dirty silverware placed in front of us. Not even on the napkin but on a dirty counter, food on the menus in front of us no napkins in the holders to even wipe it off with. 2 of our orders were messed up..bacon was put on a sandwich which we asked for on the side, and no waffle came with the all star breakfast. When We asked for clean silverware and it was an inconvenience to her, She took our dirty silverware and threw it to the sink with an attitude. Again not apologizing or acknowledging us. While my family ate their meals, I waited for my waffle to come. I finally asked and was told she ordered me a 2 egg breakfast instead of the allstar I asked for. Had she had any sort of customer service skills she would have repeated or confirmed any of our order for us and that probably wouldn't have even been a confusion however instead of automatically correcting it when I told her that's what I asked for she decided to argue with me about how she put down the 2 egg which I could.pay extra for a waffle if I wanted it. She was sloppy and laying all over the place while we were eating. And a poor excuse for an employee. She has no people skills, no courtesy to others, when paying didn't ask or offer a copy of a receipt, I had to demand one. I have never been so inclined to not tip someone- as I have worked in the service industry most of my life and know this is how they make their living, however, my money will NEVER be spent on someone who is so blatantly disrespectful. Read moreMaybe it's my fault for thinking Waffle House would be ok. I should probably manage my expectations more. Showed up at about 9:30 a.m., lots of folks were leaving and there was a truck unloading supplies, taking up half the parking lot. Not a big deal, but it's a pain since you cannot see oncoming traffic as you are exiting. Sit down at the counter, takes a few minutes to be seen. The kitchen is a wreck and the floor is disgusting, the prep station is littered with all kinds of stuff. The waffle maker has waffles not being taken out and overcooking. Toast has popped and is being ignored for 5 minutes, then they still put butter on it try to serve it to people. The grits were cold, heard another guy say the same thing. My cheesy eggs were about six slices of cheese and no egg. Forgot to give me syrup for my waffle, was cold by the time I got their attention. Went to pay, but my waitress hadn't written my ticket and the other one made me wait for her, a few minutes pass and the manager gives me a ticket. The apathy was all over their faces and in the food. They used to have this young guy as a manager, and it was far better, food was hot, served correctly and he could keep the wait staff from getting overwhelmed. Read moreWe have been coming to this Waffle House since we moved back in 2021. We are a family of 5 (and sorry Mary Porter it’s my husband who plays Free Bird every Sunday morning. You’re right, that music system is 0 or 10 it has zero chill 😂 last week a newer server wasn’t keeping up and a customers family walked out after complaining very vocally. We understood we’d had the same server her first week and she wasn’t really getting a rhythm. Everyone was so graceful and handled his outburst calmly. Sometimes the newer team members aren’t a great fit and it takes time to figure that out. The OGs though - Kim, Sean, Alex, Rachel, the two line cooks, they’re amazing. There’s been some other shining stars, too. They know our orders. They teach new people our orders. We are basically treated like the Kardashians of that WH. Free Bird became a thing cause when it comes on they knew it was our family walking in 😂😅 so sorry again Miss Mary I do hope the volume controls get more adjustable. But this place is 🔥 we just have a consistently great experience for three plus years now. I asked my husband if he thought they’d be on our Christmas card 😂😂🤣 literally part of our family routine here...
