MilkShake Factory Grassfield — Restaurant in Chesapeake

This was my second visit to Milkshake Factory Grassfield because I truly enjoyed it the first time. The chocolates are great, and my son absolutely loves their ice cream. We even drove 15 minutes just to come back. On this visit, I ordered 3 milkshakes, 4 chocolate bars, and a small vanilla scoop (which I asked for sprinkles on top for my son). The total was around $50, and I didn’t mind—it’s about the experience. The two cashiers were super friendly, even offering samples, and I left a tip.

Unfortunately, things took a turn at the pickup counter. When I got the items, I noticed my son’s ice cream didn’t have the sprinkles I requested. I kindly mentioned this, but a staff member with dreadlocks and a beard net stopped what he was doing, checked the screen, and told me, in a condescending tone, “Uh, you didn’t order sprinkles.” It felt dismissive and uncomfortable. I didn’t keep the receipt from the cashier, so I couldn’t prove it—but honestly, I would’ve paid again for the sprinkles if needed. It was more about the attitude than the cost.

The female staff member quickly added the sprinkles without issue, and I appreciated that. But then I had to ask the same guy for a spoon because there weren’t any available for customers—and again, his attitude just made me feel unwelcome.

I get it—maybe the cashier forgot to add the sprinkles. That’s not a big deal. But there are better ways to handle these situations than talking down to customers. Sadly, that one interaction soured the whole visit.

Another issue I noticed was two flies hovering around the chocolate display—not something you want to see near food, especially in a place that prides itself on sweets.

The young staff here are generally great, but that one person’s attitude was enough to make me reconsider coming back. I think I’ll stick with my regular milkshake spot near home—where I always feel...

If you're in Chesapeake, Milkshake Factory is an absolute must! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff and a warm, welcoming environment. The entire place is spotless, and you can tell they take pride in keeping it clean and inviting.

What really sets this place apart is the quality—most items are made in-house; all items using fresh ingredients, and it shows in every bite (and sip!). We tried two milkshakes, two kinds of chocolate bars, and a cake pop, and everything was incredible. The milkshakes were rich and creamy, the chocolate bars were beautifully crafted and full of flavor, and the cake pop was the perfect bite-sized treat.

You can taste the care and craftsmanship in every item. Whether you're a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop by. Milkshake Factory is a sweet experience you won’t want to miss! Also shoutout to Logan for being such a welcoming to some new, but now...

I had an amazing visit to The Milkshake Factory and couldn’t be more impressed! Not only were the milkshakes absolutely delicious (seriously, try the brownie fudge—it’s life-changing), but the service was just as sweet.

Logan, the manager, truly went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt welcomed and taken care of. He was friendly, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about the customer experience. You don’t always get that kind of service, and it made all the difference.
