New China — Restaurant in Chesapeake

Today I ordered some BONELESS spare ribs at this New China restaurant over the phone (as a fairly frequent customer). The cashier who barely spoke English confirmed my order several times as I told her I wanted to order "BONELESS" ribs.

When I went to pick up my order though, a man who was picking up his order seemed to have ordered a similar item, BBQ spare ribs (with the bone-in). As he left and then I paid for and picked up my order, I headed home and drove all the way across town. When I opened up my meal, I discovered that they had given me the wrong order (probably the man's order) and mixed up what we had, not to mention it was a lot less quantiy that I had ordered for the boneless ribs.

I called them to let them know about the mistake they made and the cashier tried to deny it by saying I had ordered "BBQ Spare Ribs" with the bone-in when I had already confirmed with her 2-3 times when I ordered, BONELESS. I asked her if I could get a credit on my next order for the mistake she knows she made. She asked if I had eaten it yet, I said no but that I was out of the area. She said I would have to bring back in the food to get the credit as if she was going to resell it to give me a credit without even an exchange or anything.

Not only was that disgusting but very inconsiderate and cheap as it showed me they care nothing about their customers and would even resell old food to others to save money for themselves.

I told her nevermind and that I would not be ordering from them again.

DO NOT EAT HERE! They recycle food, they are rude, and nasty and care nothing about their customers and their food is not all that!

I guess because their located in a primarily urban area they are used to playing people for stupid and ripping them off since they don't care about them any way.

If I could rate this place a zero I would. One star is too generous. We've been going here for about a year but lately they've been getting my order wrong. Mistakes happen so I dealt with it. This one was the last straw. I requested no broccoli in my food. When I got it and it had broccoli they just picked it out and added a couple peices of chicken. Now I have a dinner I can't eat and have to go buy something else. Just the smell of this stuff is nauseating and there's still little pieces of broccoli all through it. If you expect your food to be made properly keep on trucking. I'll be looking for a different Chinese restaurant that has some level of respect for their customers, even if it means I have to...

10/30/24 Stopped by to get a couple of egg rolls and Bourbon Chicken. Food here is very solid. Very much enjoyed it.

09/27/23 This place was very reasonable in their pricing and very quick also. I did egg roll and beef and broccoli. My standard first time go to. The egg rolls were good and the the main dish was very tasty. The sauce was very good and the veggies they put in were nice. The prices are excellent. Probably been here a long time so they don't have to raise prices. Their rent is probably at descent rate. I would try something different next time. I bet it will be great. I must try.
