We haven't been to this Popeye's in about three years. For some unknown reason, I got the bright idea to have it for dinner there. I ordered two chicken sandwiches, two orders of fries and a #5- 5pc combo meal, spicy with a Coke and BBQ sauce. The guy taking my order couldn't comprehend that I wanted two more orders of fries besides my combo. I get to the window and waited a few minutes. The girl practically threw my bag at me. I said "I just need to get my drink please, I ordered Coke". She looked at me like I had lost my mind. After a minute of looking on the computer she said "oh my bad!" Hands me the drink. I asked her if the BBQ sauce was in the bag. She said. "oh, no." And hands me one. I said "may I have another one please?" She hands me another one and walks away. No thank you. No goodbye. No kiss my butt. NOTHING! I yelled "THANK YOU! HAVE A GREAT EVENING!" and pulled off.
Get home- initially, the sandwich was pretty good. It wasn't horrible but the fries... Stone cold! The tenders were cold, like they were leftover from lunch and hardly any chicken. And they weren't spicy like I'd asked. It was as if they cooked the breading only. My daughter couldn't eat it. After around 30 minutes, I was in the bathroom throwing up. My husband and daughter were fine.
This place is a JOKE! They're always out of something. Be it chicken or vegetables, potatoes, it's always something! There's an ongoing joke in several Facebook groups about you always being out of food. That's not a good thing! The disgusting, lazy attitudes will eventually put you out of business and I can't say I wouldn't be disappointed. How can you be a manager of a restaurant and allow your employees to "run out of food"? Or is it more because they're lazy and don't want to cook anything extra?
I spent $33.00 for what we ordered! But I can tell you, unequivocally, it'll probably be another three or more years before I go back.......
Read moreTHIS IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL, DISORGANIZED PLACE I'VE EATEN!! The manager,I assume, took our order and was very polite. But that Dude Girl was pitiful and disrespectful as well as plain stupid!!! He/she took forever with our order! My hubby and I don't eat pork or beef and noticed big chunks of some meat in our gray. When I walked up and asked what type of meat was in the gravy... He/she replies, "what!??" It's just gravy, Iono what's in it" then walked off rudely. I waited and it returned and I said excuse me, as she/he ignored me again, and I asked if I could replace it with Mac and cheese. It rudely replied, "we don't have none". I asked for Cole slaw and it walked away again. After waiting another 5 minutes, it returned and slid a container across the counter. I tried to return the mashed potatoes and gravy and it says, we don't take it back. I walked off and when we tried the coke slaw ..🤮🤮🤮🤮🤢🤢 IT WAS HORRIBLE AND WARM!!! Tasted old!! We tossed it with the remaining food and left!!! None of the kids in this place had smile, courtesy or manners! Everyone kept walking around with their mouths to the ground and horrible attitudes!! Not one person came to assist me even after saying excuse me several times!! They just looked and walked off!!!! BAD BUSINESS! TRAIN THESE KIDS TO BE CUSTOMER FRIENDLY AND POLITE OR SEND THEIR...
Read moreMega shit-show... Either the GM was training an entire new staff, or they were all in freeze mode, but they ran out of a bunch of things (Mac, strawberry pies, mashed potatoes, beans), and it was as if only 2 of the folks behind the counter knew how to read... About 9 tickets on the clip when I walked in; I watched one dude up front fill one small 3-item order in the 40 minutes I was waiting, like he just didn't know how to be useful without directions... The GM's trying to train people and make them move, while also trying to explain to another employee that the bills in the drawer go in a certain order ("ones, fives, tens, twenties"...), while also trying to talk to a pile of hangry people and figure out who's order can get made next, and giving people the sauce and sides missing from their bags.
I've worked fast food before, I get that things can get chaotic, but you can't have a third of your staff just turn into dead fish during a little dinner rush... Pay them well enough that you can afford to only hire people that still have a working brain under pressure, that way you can stop wasting money on dead weight, and MAYBE you'll even have entire days where you don't lose customers the instant they see the hangry mob at the counter...
I was really looking forward to the mac n cheese, very bummed. My chicken was pretty...
