Attended a fabulous dinner on 10/21/22 featuring Venetian cuisine. Six delicious courses including artichoke fritters, baby octopus, cuttlefish ink spaghetti and hangar steak marinated in amarone. Looking forward to next month’s dinner.
Have frequented Artista on many occasions for lunch and several private dinners. Extremely creative cuisine with high quality ingredients. Had the opportunity to attend a private dinner recently and was treated to 4 fabulous courses, starting with a traditional antipasto of burrata, sun dried peppers, cured meats and olives. Next was tender sardines baked in cherry tomatoes and thyme-outstanding. Main course of short rib ragu fusilli pasta was off the charts. Finished the meal with a delicious cucumber and tomato salad. I will be back....often!
Another fantastic dinner at Artista on 2/1. Excellent 8 course meal featuring: cheeses, meats, fish, fruit and vegetables. All creatively cooked and plated.
Fabulous 6 course lunch on 2/15. Creative and mouth watering dishes.
3/28: Takeout from Artista was fantastic- Chicken Rustica and...
Read moreIf you are passing through Chester and only have time for one meal that meal should be at Artista. The owner, Kevin, is a kind individual and dedicated chef. He consistently delivers on the taste and quality of his food and any visit to Artista always results in brightening my day and leaving me full and satisfied. During COVID-19 Kevin has adjusted to providing meal to go and he posts a weekly menu on their website every Saturday that patrons can call and order for pickup later the next week. For anyone worried about a drop in quality due to a shift to takeout I would like to out your fears to rest. The food has remained as delectable as ever and the presentation of the meals has been unimpaired. My family ordered the Easter meal from Artista back in April and the food we received significantly brightened a bleak time as we were forced to celebrate away from loved ones. If you are tired of cooking or simply want something new give...
Read moreYou simply can't call this joint a grocery store! It's a compact gourmet Italian market/sandwich shop/catering space/coffee break. Ordered 2 Artista salads for lunch - 1 with sliced grilled chicken, 1 with sliced breaded chicken on the side. That salad was so fresh, light, filling and really delicious with the vinaigrette dressing. The rustic croutons added substance and a nice crunchy contrast to the leafy arugula. Assuming the croutons were made at the shop. A very nice change from the "normal" salads in the area. I think I found my local go-to spot!
Also a spontaneous splurge on the twice-baked biscotti! Sizeable portion, not too dense and delightfully crispy. I didn't feel so guilty eating so many as they were not overly sweet. Would have gone great with coffee! (See my staged photo of those delicious biscottis)
The location is a beautiful historic yellow home turned salumeria. I almost drove past it until...
