Fresco Review
My wife and I have been to this quaint little slice of heaven quite a few time. Weāve never been disappointed. The food is beyond authentic as it rivals even the food Iāve had in my travels to Mexico. I had appetizer special called Shrimp and Chorizo Huarache which is a Mexican street food. Itās on a masa corn tart and the flavor was out of this world. It had the perfect amount of spice and absolutely delicious. My wife had the the crab and shrimp ceviche which was also the best sheād ever had. Then I had the entree special called Smoked Pork Chili Relleno. Itās smoked corn in a roasted poblano pepper. I was told this was smoked in banana leaf and accompanied by sweet fried plantains. This was by far the most amazing Mexican dish Iād ever had. This combined with a beautiful presentation makes this an unforgettable experience. My compliments to to Chef Marco and co-owner Carlos for once again taking it up a notch. Of course my wife and I had to stop next door to Random Acts of Fresco Boutique where we canāt seem to ever leave empty handed. Weāll be back soon, perhaps even...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food was horrible. Definitely not real authentic Mexican cuisine. I ordered tacos Carne Asada and I got a few pieces of scraggly, overcooked, beef strips, covered and smothered in cinnamon, cumin, and Other spices. No cilantro, no lime nothing reminiscent of an actual taco guacamole was just sliced up avocados with excessive amount of lime juice And onions. Salsa was runny and look like dirty water along with stale tortillas. The queso Fundido Looked like a ball of cheese you cannot get a tortilla or a chip to dip in it to save your life. It was like chewing glue when I asked the manager. Why does it taste like cinnamon? He said thatās the way it always done in Mexican culture obviously he did not realize that im Mexican. I have been eating Mexican food since I was a little girl authentic Mexican food no way on Gods green earth would there be cinnamon and all spice in steak. Because of that I end up having an allergic reaction we will not be setting foot in that place again...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely loved our experience at Fresco Mexican in Chester, NJāthis place is a true gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and an energy that instantly felt festive and inviting. The vibrant decor and upbeat atmosphere made it feel like a mini celebration.
What really stood out, though, was the food. The fresh corn tortillas were next-levelāsoft, warm, and clearly handmade with care. You can taste the difference in every bite. Their pico de gallo was a standout: bright, tangy, and packed with flavor, the perfect topping or side to anything on the menu. Every dish we tried was bursting with freshness and authenticity.
On top of the food, the service was phenomenalāattentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the menu. They made great recommendations and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal.
Whether you're a local or just passing through, Fresco Mexican is absolutely worth the visit. Canāt wait to...
