It’s never been great, but after not ordering from there for a long time and then giving it one last shot tonight, we definitely won’t be back. It’s unfortunate too because it’s very convenient, but after wasting money on subpar food AGAIN, we’re done. I know others love it here and I envy them, because it would be nice to have a good pizza joint so close, but Nah.
Edit in 2023- Woah, I didn’t realize that the dood himself responded after my initial review. I haven’t been in since, like, 2021 or something, but is he ok? I mean, if my simple review got him that upset, I just wanted to make sure he was still with us and hasn’t stroked out or anything. I’m so sorry for your loss if he has, and I hope it wasn’t his lousy food that caused the clot to dislodge. Anyway, I don’t know if the foods any better than it used to be, but if you want some BANGIN pizza, the place in Mt Eff Plaza is GREAT. Best sauce outside NJ and best crust outside of Ny. Definitely recommended.
Anyway, I’m sorry again for the loss of this feller, if he did give himself a ruptured aorta or something, but if he’s still around and mashing keyboards angrily because someone on Google didn’t like their frozen chicken fingers or whatever, god bless.
And I don’t have a business, kind sir or ghost. I leave that up to the pros, like yourself or whoever else has taken over the business since you crossed the rainbow bridge due to a massive cardiac event or brain tumor.
Thoughts and prayers, Mrs Meryl...
Read moreIt was a Friday night and my husband and I had a rough work week. We decided to order out for dinner instead of making dinner ourselves. He was home already and called in an order for me to pick up on my way home. Got to Mike's around the time we were told it'd be ready by. The place was very busy and everyone working was hustling and bustling. Told the guy at the counter what I was picking and he acknowledged my name for the order took my payment and told me it'll be a little while longer all the while taking three more order on the phone. I was kinda impressed by that and told him no problem. I stood back and watched the very busy turn into ultra crazy busy. People were piling in, tickets were flying around, and the staff did an amazing job of dancing around one another to keep up with all the food orders. Secretly I thought, no way our order is going to be right or made properly because of how busy they were. After waiting longer than expected (which I'm not complaining about because I'm a people watcher and loved watching everyone doing their own thing) Anyway, got home set up the table with some wine and plates and divided up our meals. Everything was spot on delicious. We very much enjoyed our meal. There was only one negative thing with the entire experience; there was a paper wrapper in my husband's lobster ravioli. He was disappointed because he thought it was fresh ravioli and the paper surprise proved it wasn't fresh. But he ate it all minus the paper...
Read moreFood is excellent, however a bit too pricey for a Pizza place, his pizza is not worth the extra cost. If there was a separate dining area where you wouldn't feel like your in McDonalds, it would do so much more the atmosphere and perhaps justify his high priced meals. I'd ratther drive to The Prime in Bethlehem (1 hr.) than 10 minutes to Mikes for a good meal, the atmosphere does not justify the prices.
Staff is wonderful but I have lost respect for Mike as e,very time I go there, if one of his young workers makes a mistake he belittles them in front of the customers to the point where they are visually upset. I find that to be bad business, if you don't respect your staff, how do you expect them to respect your customers? Customer service is the key to a successful business, and it should be extended to your staff.
Another acquaintance told me she inadvertently took wrong pie off the counter which was her fault admittedly. She said Mike went to town yelling at his staff. She was so upset that the girl at the counter had to get in trouble for her mistake.
If you want to run a business properly you show respect to your staff and if you have issues you call them aside and discuss it privately not publicly.
Instead of yelling at these kids in front of customers, he should learn some management skills, this is just...
