Javi’s has been my favorite West Omaha Mexican restaurant for the last few years. Last night my friend and I visited their Elkhorn location and had a great experience. This was her first time ever having Javi’s and she gave it a 10/10. We both got carne asada Javi’s tacos which were yummy as always. Love that the corn tortillas are fresh. Watching him press them and cook them was cool. We both had onion cilantro mix and tomatillo salsa on our tacos. We shared a chicken quesadilla and both of us agreed that Javi’s has the best quesadillas in Omaha. I love mine with sour cream and lettuce. I’ve had the strawberry margarita and felt like it was too sour so this time we both got the lime one on the rocks with sugar on the rim. Super good and we got them 1/2 off for happy hour. I always struggle to decide what to get when going to Javi’s because everything on the menu is delicious. All of their ingredients taste fresh and the kitchen area always seems clean and well kept. The entire restaurant actually is kept up on pretty well. I’ve never seen the dining room or restrooms look messy or gross. Javi has been in the restaurant on several occasions while I’ve been there in the past. He’s always helping the staff with whatever needs done and also spends time checking on his customers. The other employees are always nice and helpful. Had a great conversation with the gentleman who was putting our margaritas together last night. If you haven’t been to Javi’s before I absolutely...
Read more(Updated Review) Still wanted to leave the old post for reference. Javi's has done an amazing job the staff was very friendly and helpful. Food is excellent and we had a great experience. Keep it up and look forward to dinning here in the future!
(Original Review) Have been to all the locations and food truck. The food has always been excellent, easily consistent and delicious.
There is one major problem in this is the only location different with how you order. Even when there is only a few customers in front of me it can take 20-25 mins to get through the line.
I personally like the other two locations ordering. It is easier to order with the cashier and lessens the confusion. I have had my order mixed up before, the staff was a little confused. Not to mention the whole order gets repeated to the cashier. The ticket system is better unless you have the speed of Chipotle or Qdoba.
Just seems that the layout is not good handling the volume of customers this store gets.
I hope some changes are made but since they have opened it has not improved.
As I was in line ordering, the grill cook was not being very friendly and could not tell if he was talking to me.
Have come here 4 times now and have not enjoyed any...
Read moreWe go to the one 168 and W.Center and love the food and creamy habanero sauce. Today we tried the new Elkhorn location, since its closer to where we live. We got to nachos and immediately my family noticed the portions of guac, queso and black beans was small, when I took this matter to the counter, the manager came and instead of taking care of my complain, said it was my fault that I did not ask for more when it was being made. First he said it will cost you extra, when I told him I just spent $85 plus 20 % tip, then he blamed it on the new employees, when I asked for his name (5feet 6 inches, stocky ), he abruptly asked why I wanted to know his name, he told me he had no name and when i said we will be going to the one on 168th and Center, he replied 'good'. Clearly he had no customer service skills, very confrontational and very unpleasant to deal with. I would definitely suggest to avoid this branch and go to the one on 168th and Center. Mr Javi has done a phenomenal job with the menu. Its second to none in flavor, quality and quantity. But uncompromising customer service can bring the...
