Mondos Coffeehouse — Restaurant in Chico

I love local-based coffee shops, and Mondos Coffeehouse is no exception! I have always supported local businesses, and believe that we all should. The coffee, pastries, and breads are great here, as well as the employee-customer interface and general ambiance of both the interior and exterior aspects of the coffee shop. The location is convenient, as it is close by to other restaurants, as well as a Safeway and Walgreens across the street. What really stood out to me, is the breakfast jalapeno and cheddar cheese bagel sandwich that I had ordered. Being vegetarian, I was able to tailor my order accordingly, and the sandwich was wonderful! I definitely recommend Mondos sandwiches to everyone! You will not regret trying them! Good job, Mondos! I came here this morning after reading all of the reviews on Google about how delicious the coffee was here and how great the customer service was. To be honest, the customer service during my visit wasn’t that great. The girl behind the counter seemed like she would rather be anywhere else. She was quite impatient, and wasn’t very personable. Also, I was a little unimpressed with the coffee. I ordered a white chocolate mocha and it has a strawberry taste to it. There was also a bit of a stuffy smell on the inside of the café. But I got a bagel as well, and that was absolutely delicious. It tasted homemade. Overall, it wasn’t that great of a visit. I probably won’t be visiting again. But I do recommend the bagels. I typically LOVE this little joint and I used to go here almost every day. I hadnt been in months until this morning when I had a craving for a dirty chai and a cinnamon raisin bagel. The girl at the front seemed to be having a bad morning, as we all do, so I didn’t think much of it. She didn’t make the right drink:( just a regular chai and my bagel was whole grain not cinnamon raisin:( only reason I didn’t ask for new ones is because I found out in the car on my way to work.
