Another date night with the wife and another Mexican restaurant to try. Upon arriving, we were seated immediately and offered drinks. We were presented with chips and salsa after only 2 minutes and allowed to peruse the menu. The salsa was watery with little bulk to it, but that's the same for a lot of restaurants. I chose the flauta plate while she opted for the Carne Asada fries. While the fries were tasty...offering plenty of meat, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream, they were also undercooked and pale, offering no crunch. The flautas were crunchy and full of ingredients that made it a stand-out item. The beans were well seasoned and perfectly cooked, but the rice was bland and offered little flavor. There are better restaurants in Chico, but if you're looking for fast, cheap eats, this will work for you. If you prefer a more established business that serves better food, there are plenty of choices.

Small spot in a little strip mall. I was in chico for an mri. The nurse told me this place had really good papusas. The first time in a while, someone did not steer me wrong. I had the pork papusa lunch. The salsa was good. The curtido was good but imprefer it a little more sour. Their beans were really good. The rice was okay. The papusas were so good! Will probably come back next time i am in the area

Ordered corn enchilada with asada and flour enchilada with carnitas. Everything I ordered was correct. The beans and rice that came on the side was your typical traditional ones. The side of salad was a nice touch. Dressing wasnt overwhelming and nice. Enchiladas themselves were good, not great. Asada was dried out with no flavor. Carnitas was good. I want to try other things next time.

Reasonably priced, super authentic, incredibly fast, ridiculously nice, absolutely delicious.

All of the meat choices have different flavor and texture profiles, so you can get the same dish in a huge variety of ways if you normally get carne asada on your burrito and just aren't feeling it that day

The beans, rice, meat, and everything is all seasoned perfectly and all compliment each other very nicely. There's spice, but it has a reasonable spectrum of heat that will satisfy the wide variety of heat tolerances people have.

And the salsa, especially the red spicy salsa which is my favorite, is some of the best homemade salsa I've had from anywhere, restaurant or home cooks. They have it in pico de gallo style for mild, and a smooth blend for spicy. The salsa is the shining star that solidifies this restaurant as one of the best Mexican joints I've eaten at period.

11/10, 5/7, 20/20, 3 thumbs up, and a perfect 5 out of 5 stars. If you like authentic Mexican style food and live in chico, you're doing yourself a disservice to not try this restaurant...

I came in with my family and my girlfriend for the first time ever we were very respectful all we wanted was a couple tacos and 2 burritos very simple order when my waitress asked what we wanted for drinks my girlfriend was mid sentence and was cut off and told no not u and pointed to me I said nothing because that was disrespectful and she got mad and left our table and complained that we were being very rud and wanted us kicked out keep in mind it was our first time in this establishment so we were all very taken back by this we waited for about 20 minutes to reserve our food which I had a feeling to look through cause my kids got burritos and there was spit in my daughters burrito after this we left I feel very disgusted if I wasn’t with my family I would have flipped out and called the cops cause my child could have gotten a disease from that burrito if who ever had spit in it had anything I can’t believe a restroom with almost a 5 star rating would treat new customers like this honestly I’d rather go to Taco Bell and would honestly get...
