Aca Taco — Restaurant in Chico

Ok, I know this is a chain restaurant, and yes...I'm even aware that it has multiple awards for "Best Burrito" and "Best Taco", but unfortunately I can't get behind it. My wife and I went in on Memorial Day for an early dinner, and left less-than satisfied. Not for the food or the taste, but for the Nickel and Dime way you get charged for EVERYTHING you may want in or on your food. The Burrito was full and big enough, as was the quesadilla, but while other establishments include the routine ingredients in their price or specialty items, Aca Taco charges for each add-on (as stated on the receipt). The salsas look like they come out of a jar/bottle/jug...and taste, well...bland. Was the Colorado Pork juicy and tender, with just the right spice kick? YEP!! Was the Beef tender as well...YES! But was the addition of $3 for ingredients that come standard in other businesses worth it. NO...I can not recommend this place when there are FAR BETTER restaurants in Chico to eat at, and vote for in the upcoming "Best of Chico" category (Lokking at YOU, Raliberto's). Want to really indulge...eat there and...

Pastor tacos were a few bucks each but totally worth it. The flavor was very good and they came fully loaded with meat falling out, onions, cilantro, the works. I ordered spicy and it came with a side of green sauce that had a little kick. The pastor was crispy on the outside.. I'm not sure if that is a planned cook method or I just got it on my visit, but I wasn't mad about it. The staff was incredibly friendly and although they only take cash at the moment (covid stuff, visit was 07/06/22) the gentleman working there suggested I order online. I scanned a QR code dealy bopper, put my order in, and it was ready...

I honestly love Aca Taco and want to start by saying that. However, the past handful of times I have gone to the one on Nord I have had problems with my order and a blatant disregard for what I say. Today's problem just kind of topped off my irritability. I ordered 4 veggie tacos, saying I wanted jalapenos added. Everytime they ask me on top or the side, I say on top. However, they hardly do this and ignore my request. I also only received 2 instead of 4, having to ask my boyfriend to go back and get the rest of what we paid for (I'm sick). Love the food, but would appreciate if you asked something you listened...
