In the sprawling wasteland of sterile, soulless convenience stores and plastic delis, Milda’s Corner Market emerges as a bastion of defiant authenticity. Not just a deli; it's a damn oasis in a desert of mundane munchies, a fever dream of gourmet delicacies. As you traverse its aisles, every item sings a song of rarity, a siren's call to the culinary adventurer. The prices? Not the highway robbery one might expect from such a treasure trove, but a reasonable toll for entry into a world of flavors. And let me tell you about the bacon buns, my friend. A revelation. A mind-altering, taste-bud-tantalizing experience that redefines the very essence of 'surprise'. Each bite is a delicious trip, a roller coaster of sensations. If there's any semblance of sanity left in you, venture into Milda’s and embark on a gastronomic journey that defies the constraints of ordinary deli experience. This isn't just food; it's an edible manifesto against the dull and the mundane.

Milda’s makes good sandwiches and hoagies! They have this Lithuanian thing going on inside with a Lithuanian map on the Wall and cookies from the Old country. While I was waiting for my turkey sub (YUMMY) this 6’4 Lithuanian Lady cut the line, well I was the only one in line, and order a Reuben. This Hippie looking Cat she called Jerry Rubin came out of the freezer and left with her! I then saw this lady reading the Lithuanian news paper. Something was up as there were 2 big dudes with dark sun glasses and ear pieces eyeing me! Come to find out the lady was Dalia Grybauskaite President of Lithuania having some Lithuanian cookies and drinking groseunie which is like a Lithuanian Red Bull. Go figure all this going on in Union Pier. They have the NYT and the New Buffalo gazette. The New Buffalo Gazette was less depressing so I read it.

Absolutely LOVE LOVE this place!! Quick, great food, no wait, even in peak season it's a speedy process, thank you all employees there!!! Update *02/14/2025. Nothing but good things about Mildas still to this day, it's my go to spot for the best tasting cheeseburger in the area, not to mention all the other delicious menu items. If your headed out to grab a bite while in the area, this is your spot, everything else will be packed with a line out the door and around the block, not here, service is top-notch and speedy. You won't be disappointed.

I will say, the sandwiches were delicious that we ordered, however, the service and experience were concerning. 5 star food, 1 star service.

We came on Sunday, so it was in the heat of Memorial Day Weekend. The woman at the front was extremely rude and visibly flustered. She kept saying how the deli workers needed a break and it had been constant since 6 AM. We had come in at 1:30 PM. Totally understandable, but it seemed as though she was annoyed every time a person came in and wanted to order. She was very short and condescending. At one point, the phone was ringing and she told a customer she was going to stop answering the phone. It just seemed a little odd.

I totally get it was probably pretty busy, but being in a tourist town and on a great, high-traffic corner, it just seemed as though she was going to be putting off a lot of returning business that could be returning throughout the summer.

I also thought the store was a little dirty. I did notice that none of the deli workers were wearing gloves and handling all the food bare handed.

Again, the food was great, but I think some better customer service and sanitary measures would...

Mildas is a amazing carry out sandwich and bakery Place as well as a boutique grocery store w unique brands with Lithuanian and Eastern Europe flair brands that is fun mixed with american brands and many drinks to choose from cold coolers - first off I must say I have been going here for years and it’s about time I give great review as deserved ! They make all these amazing homemade bakery goods and some with a traditional Lithuanian style With this love and hi end bakery skills ...and some just old fashion sconces, muffins , pies and potatoe ,bacon traditional Lithuanian Casserole... called kugilis (sp?) I buy to serve with breakfast side and so much more .The sandwich custom made has a large menu selection . My husband loves the Italian sandwich and I always get vegetarian burger to go . Don’t forget if you get sandwiches to get a dessert to go with as you will see why she has been in business so long as the food melts in your mouth . If you want curbside nice guy who works there will do...
