The worst part is the mistreatment was from the Owner Maher Mohammad Ismail of this particular Dennys. Here is the letter sent to Dennys Corporate Complaints: " At Dennys our goal is to find new ways to strengthen relationships with our valued customers and improve our service. We appreciate your patronage in our restaurants, and strive to make each and every visit enjoyable." This is the mission that Dennys is striving to uphold, however, my visit to the Dennys location 5259 Fairfield Ranch Chino Hills, CA 91709 was anything but enjoyable. When my party and I arrived at Dennys on 1/24/2010, we were greeted by Maher Mohammad Ismail, owner of the franchised Dennys located in Chino Hills off of Fairfield Ranch. He ask us how many people are in our party then advised us to wait until a table was available for our party. He then proceeds to leave the premises to take a break and failed to advise the hostess that our party was waiting to be seated, before he left. We sat in the waiting area the entire time that he was on break and when he returned, he realized that our party had still not been seated. He orders the hostess to seat us at one of the 2 empty tables that could accommodate our party. Once we were seated, we noticed that the table had not been cleaned, wiped down or sanitized yet. We were also missing all of our utensils/napkins and the waitress passed our table a few times before greeting us. When Liz, our waitress, came to take our drink orders she became agitated when we advised her that we were ready to order both our drinks and our entrees now. We requested for her to send someone to sanitize the table and bring utensils/napkins, however, since she had forgotten to send someone we stopped a busboy that was passing by and ended up cleaning up our own table. We went to pay and the owner Maher Mohammad Ismail asked us how our food tasted and if we were satisfied with the service. We answered with "the food was great but the service could have been better." He then requests to hear about the service since he was the owner and would like to know what went wrong. I started out with my complaint against his services to us and he immediately became defensive and cut me off. He did not allow me to complete the story that HE requested to hear from me. He decided to give me an explanation, prior to hearing what my entire complaint was about. He explained that seating is based on tables available to accommodate the size of the party. I allowed him to finish his explanation and asked him if he was finished before I proceeded with my complaint to give him the courtesy that he wasn't able to give to me. I let him know that my complaint was not about the seating processes and procedures, but about the service that we received and that if he allowed me the chance to speak uninterrupted he could give me an explanation that actually pertained to my complaint. At this point he was livid, he stated "I have had over 680 customers come through here this morning with not one single complaint, I'm threw with you all, you need to leave!" After that statement, another customer that was seated in the dining area came forth and stated "I have a complaint, the tables are unsanitary and I think you should do something about it!" Instead of addressing his customers concerns, he proceeded to ensure our exit off the premises and ignored our suggestions for better service. Maher Mohammad Ismail let his pride supersede his customers enjoyable experience, his actions were unjustifiable by any business standard and it is disappointing to know that Dennys endorses this type of behavior from an owner of one of their franchises. In order to run a successful business, it is essential that the business owner and its leaders realize that your customers are what make you successful, without them you would not exist. Thank you for your time and consideration of the matter, I look forward to hearing a response...
Read moreThere are many restaurants in the Chino Hills and Chino area. With that said not a single one of those establishments compares to this Denny's. The owner is always present and since this is not a Corporate Denny's he truly takes pride in every detail of his restaurant. The staff is consistently friendly, pleasent, happy and on top of every detail of your experience. I have been there when there as a waiting period and also when my Mom and I were the only guests. Regardless the quality of service and food is impeccable. With all the choices in town for my money this Denny's is by far the best choice. I must add I LOVE their iced tea. Freshly brewed and hands down beats any other iced tea in town. Bashir, Omar, and Tay are usually our servers (because of the time of day we go) the three of them treat my Mom andI like family. From encouraging me through my 18 month battle with cancer to wondering what had happened to us when we recently went on vacation. The staff at this Denny's makes everyone feel like you are family when you visit. One might think we are there everyday from this post; when actually we visit this Denny's about 5 or 6 times a month. If you are a local or just passing through the area in my opinion you will get every dollars worth from stopping in and eating here at the Denny's at 15459 Fairfield Ranch just a block or so off the 71 Fwy. Enjoy,...
Read moreNot too pleased with the take-out experience this morning. Placed a phone order this morning, and they said it would be ready in 10 minutes. Arrived 10 minutes later and the gal said it was almost ready. Only 2 or 3 other people dining in the restaurant and they all had their food. Noticed no activity in the kitchen and the 2 servers were deep in conversation as if they were on a break. 10 minutes later, the gal asked the cook where the order was. He put his hands in the air and checked his receipts, no order had got to the kitchen. The gal gave the cook the order, verbally and another 10 minutes passed before the order was ready. Pretty sure if the ladies weren't busy gossiping, they would have noticed that the order wasn't ready and that there wasn't anything being cooked in the kitchen. On top of it all, got home and the order was wrong. Received some sort of omelette instead of the sandwich I ordered. The receipt was correct, maybe she shouldn't have given the order verbally to the...
