I actually left in tears without ordering anything. It was my first time there and I'm trying to look at the menu which is a tv that switches between 2 slides of different options every few seconds which is really hard to focus on. It was really hard to read the descriptions of the drinks and I was forgetting what I was just read because the picture kept changing. I asked the guy there if he had a paper menu I could read and they didn't but he directed me to a spot on the wall near the back that lists some of the drink options but not all. As soon as I step out of view I hear one the the employees loudly ask the other why I couldn't just take a picture of the menu to look at and laughing. And yeah that is a great idea, or I could've just looked it up on yelp or something and I should have thought of that but the mocking way she said it like I was stupid really hurt. I just left not wanting to be there anymore. I'm really disappointed because I've been wanting to try this place for a while but I don't want to be somewhere I'm being mocked and laughed at. The music was loud and it was really cold and was really just a sensory overload with the hard to read menu. (Reposted from my...
Read moreMy wife and I have been here twice and it's already joined Cafe 86 as our favorite local coffee spot. It's got a great vibe, cool without being pretentious. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and they're happy to explain things on the menu. There's plenty of seating, and it seems like the kind of place you could hang out for a long time, either with friends or with a laptop or book. The coffee is delicious and served at just the right temperature. In addition to the usual coffeehouse fare they offer some more unique choices like their berry lattes and brown sugar lattes. So far we've tried the brown sugar, the cinnamon, and the strawberry, and they've all been great. I look forward to trying everything on the menu and mixing the offerings up in our own mad scientist creations. They also offer some awesome merchandise, like mugs, travel mugs, honey, coffee pots, and they even sell their own coffee scrub. It's really a unique place. We'll be back here the next time we feel like something a little more coffeehouse than Cafe 86 (or the next time we need coffee before Cafe...
Read moreCoffee shops always have a perfect reputation for sometimes being a perfect hole in the wall not always known about to the public. I'm someone who doesn't think of Starbucks or Dunkin just for coffee options and I'm also someone who has moved a lot (midwest to east to west coast) and finding a new "favorite" spot is always my goal. How does Canabru hold up?
Honestly the best coffee I've had this far. While I don't always venture out in search for a gem, this place just happen to nearly escape me with it being hidden away. It has more flavor options than most places that taste great. Today I had a Honey Lavender latte with 4 shots of espresso and oat milk. That's right, oat milk. The taste is purely amazing. What a potent taste yet subdued.
I don't always like posting for restaurants unless they are either side of the spectrum. Either very good or having a very stand out reason to be wary. Canabru truly is a wonderful mix up and has me eager to try more flavors, like the "Zebra" with white and...
