I can't say enough good things about this church. I found Pastor Jack listening to Wall Builders and he gave me hope that there ARE churches that speak truth because it is God's Word and do not avoid it or just go along with what is politically correct. Although I live in Northern California, I listen to him on his podcast every chance I can. Listening to him has grown me as a Christian to fall in love with my Savior more and more than I ever did before. I hope the people of Calvary Chino Hills Church know what a blessing it is for them to have such a wonderful church leader. I got to visit Calvary Chino Hills on vacation and finally got a chance to listen to Pastor Jack's service in person. What a treat and blessing! I even got to meet him at the end of the service. Something I've never got to even really do at the church I attend or have attended. The pastors usually leave out of sight after sermons as if they were rock stars, but not Pastor Jack. He was warm and very kind. It was like talking to an old friend. I pray Pastor Jack will continue to follow God's lead in whatever He has for him and that he will never stray from the Word. It's kind of sad that there are some who do not like his teaching. I guess if I were the same person as I was before I truly gave my life to the Lord, I too might feel like they do, but only because I did not read the bible and really did not know God's Truths. Many of the people who dislike his teaching cannot possibly understand or refuse to understand those truths. Yes, God forgives our sins, but we are not to continue living in them. How can one claim to love God if you continue to outright live in a way that is an abomination to Him? And even if you are not participating in a certain sin(ie. homosexuality), but you approve of it or you don't speak God's truth to it, you too are guilty. Guilty of approving of a sin and guilty of not speaking truth(His Word) to a sin. God Bless Pastor Jack and thank you for all you and your congregation. I so appreciate that you stand on God's Word boldly in everything particularly in the...
Read moreI feel kind of weird posting a review about a church, but that's the world we live in now I guess :-)
I'm the child of a pastor, and since my dad stopped preaching I've attended a number of different churches and spent a period of time not going to church. I started out catching pastor Jack's sermons on the radio, then downloaded the Real Life app to catch entire series of his. A couple years ago my wife and I started looking for a church to bring our entire family to and CCCH was the most welcoming group of people we encountered, we felt at home immediately. My son is special needs, and they have an entire children's program tailored specifically for special needs children. But it's not just a place to hide our son, there was still actual instruction with the goal of mainstreaming him into a normal class with his age group. They worked with us patiently and lovingly and our son now attends the normal class with his age group.
Pastor Jack is definitely a dynamic and engaging speaker. He presents the Word straight out of the Bible with unbiased insight and analysis. His series are in-depth and detailed with months spent chewing on a single book of the Bible verse by verse. But it is not stale or academic. If you are completely unchurched, someone who knows the highlights, or someone who is already a biblical scholar, you will still receive real-world applicable information. My wife and I land at different places on that spectrum and we are both fed by his messages.
At the risk of writing so much that it will not be read, I'll just finish with this. The Spirit is moving at this church. They very tangibly express the love of Christ to first timers and regulars alike. The Word is respected and exalted. I am regularly encouraged, convicted, motivated and blessed by the teaching and the visible application of said teaching by the staff and volunteers at the church. If you're looking for a church home and family, you owe it to yourself and your family...
Read moreI am an online member for a couple years now. I live in Philadelphia and I would love to live close to attend this church. I found Pastor Jack by following Amir Tsarfati and ever since I've attended Sunday's and Wednesday's services. I grew up Pentecostal, then attended an non denomination church as a teenager, then a Baptist church as an adult. What I look forward to any Church is a Pastor that speaks truth ( biblical truth) and that's what made me follow Pastor Jack. He is not afraid to speak up about topics that are keeping many people from entering the kingdom of heaven. We live in a sensitive (blind) society that wants everyone to agree to the demonic agenda or laws of this world, if not we are viewed as disobedient or even hateful. BUT GOD, shows us to speak truth, live in truth and it will set you free. I see the few negative remarks are due to political speech. I applaud Pastor Jack for bringing truth in the Political world view. Remember the antiChrist will manipulate the politicians to have a one world religion, one government and one economy and many people do not have the knowledge on these topics. JESUS said, I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and LIFE. Do you want a Pastor that speaks truth or lies. And sugar coats everything because they're afraid to lose members and have an empty church. Shame on you who are political sensitive you must have not read the Bible. The content is not about democrats or Republicans it's about the demonic policies that are being pushed that are against God's will. Take time to pray and ask God to direct you to a place of Truth. God bless and remember the time is near. Be...
