My review is based entirely on my experience with their customer service. The store itself is fine and has a wide selection of product.
This store has made me appreciate more the customer service I get at other places that I usually take for granted. I noticed it when I first started coming here last year.
On my most recent visit I walked in right past two employees who were working on the floor, one of which I think may be a supervisor. Not one of them said hello or welcome. I went to the boot section and started trying on boots when a third employee appeared from the back. She walked past me, made eye contact then turned her head and kept walking. I said under my breath, "You've gotta be kidding me." No one came and asked if I needed help, which I did. Also it was late morning still and I was the only customer there. I had to go to one of the workers for help.
A couple of days later I went in with my young daughter. Again, no one greeted me. I was in the Cowboy hat section for a fair amount of time trying on different hats. The woman who I think is a supervisor was within a few feet of me the entire time. Not once did she ask if I had any questions and again I had to go to her when I did.
It makes sense now why the customer service here is poor. Employees usually follow the lead of their supervisor or more senior employees.
One last thing. I still made purchases on both of these recent visits. I almost always do...
Read moreChino Hills, CA Location Review… Clean store, modern and spacious. I usually shop the Upland or San Dimas store due to the location to my home. Yesterday I was looking for a few items (CHINO HILLS, CA) and ended up being helped by the manager. After about 15 minutes of trying on a pair of boots and not making a purchase, I started to get the cold shoulder from the manager. I had a few extra questions and got very abrupt, short responses. It almost seem like I was a big bother to her. I came back to the store today to work with a sales person for a hat crease. I believe they were having an employee meeting, and I mentioned that I wanted to see the sales person from the day before. The manager came over and immediately gave me the brush off. Her voice and demeanor became very condescending, telling me that I should not change the shape of my hat. Whether that is true or not, the manager’s attitude has left such a bad taste in my mouth. I will never be returning to the Chino Hills store. The friendlier staff at Upland and San Dimas will be my go to shopping locations. I hate to give bad review marks, but, customer service is high on my list, especially from a manager of a store. She does not set a good example of friendliness to the...
