Wow! I was SURPRISED. The appearance of the outside of the building doesn't really help attract traffice but the inside was welcoming and clean. Cute little bar to your right and wait staff station is nice clean and organized. 5/5 Our waitress was very accommodating and nothing was a problem for her which is great when you don't get attitude from a server who thinks they don't have to work for their tip nowadays. 5/5 We were greeted with homemade salsa and chips (crunchy)and both were delicious. I really liked their red & green salsa. I ordered the #2: 5/5 Cheese Enchiladas w/beef gravy 4/5 Rice was delicious, the portion could have been just a bit bigger 5/5 beans were well seasoned and tasty 4/5 The puffy taco was small but tasty as well on a homemade corn tortilla 5/5 Chicken and Beef Fajita Nachos were delicious, meat was plentiful dressed with lettuce, tomatoes and guacamole (optional upgrade) and jalapeno slices on the side. 5/5 House Margarita for $2.99 during happy hour 2-5 was very good for a house marg. I don't like sour mix in my margs so this was a perfect not to sugary lime margarita My husband ordered a mixed plate and he said it was so good he overate. This will be a regular for us. Went back last week and had the number 12 Love their little puffy tacos Love the cheese enchiladas... they are Tex-mex but hey we live in Texas! Their corn tortillas are homemade! Still love go in there!

Today had lunch with my sister here. There were 0 other guest in the restraunt, but we remained positive. We were hoping for tacos and margaritas but found out they dont have an alcohol license anymore, no beer either. We still remained positive, no big deal. The service was slow, seemed like they didnt want us there. When the food came out it had to have been the most greasy food we had ever been served. I ordered the puffy tacos, my plate had a literal puddle on it and the grease just dripped from it, pictured below. My daughter had beef chalupas, pictured below, when she picked it up the toppings fell through the center because of the grease! When we went to pay we were charged random prices with no itemized receipt! This is the worst mexican restraunt I've ever been to!

We are from out of state and this was our first visit because some of our family recommended we come here. The building is nice and large with nice Mexican decor. The waitress was friendly and helped us put tables together for our large group. The chips and salsa was free which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered a large margarita that was good but not outstanding. For food I got the combination plate of tamales with one puffy taco (deep fried shell). My wife got the puffy taco dinner. The tamales were good but still nothing outstanding. We decided the puffy tacos were pretty good and we recommend those if you're coming here. I guess I was hoping for something that stood out but nothing did for us. Next time we come we'll try something different.

The food here is absolutely ahhhhmaaaazzzing! Right from the beginning of the meal, with the light, crispy tortilla chips and fresh perfectly spiced salsa, I so thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. The restaurant, although large, has a cozy, comfortable vibe, with rustic decor. The staff here do not all speak perfect English, but ALL of them really go out of their way to make sure you have a great dining experience. The cheese enchiladas are delicious and tender, the rice is quite flavorful (and it's pretty hard to impress a native San Antonian like me!), but the star of the meal was the puffy tacos! Yes, you read right! The number 1 daily special on Thursdays (for $5.99) comes with enchiladas AND puffy tacos! These were crispy, and delicate, lacking that excessive greasiness present in most puffy tacos. I have been here several times, and I keep wanting to try dessert, but never make it that far! As if all of this weren't perfect enough, this place also provides banquet services as a venue for private parties! My wedding reception may well...

Me and my husband we haven’t been here in two years to this restaurant. Nice because the food absolutely sucked. We heard they change management and their food was better. Their food is not good. They warm it up in the microwave. They do not even cook it you’re supposed to cook it in a frying pan or a pot not warmed up in a microwave and their chips are harder than a rock they wouldn’t replace them. They just wanted to charge you for some other kind of Chips the service was terrible. The waiter didn’t even come around. Ask us if we want it anymore T until we were getting Ready to leave, they need to improve this place and get a chef and to show him how to cook food not warm it up in the microwave so don’t waste your money people don’t go back there it’s not worth it. It was a guy that worked there a long time ago and they prepared their food but like I said, we heard from other people that they change management and their food was better but it’s not we will never...
