Captain B's Shrimp House — Restaurant in Cicero

The food was absolutely atrocious! For starters, everything is deep fried for reasons I cannot begin to imagine. For the main course, the chicken tastes like the person pouring the salt has an affinity for the bottom of the container.

The catfish was an overly breaded bland disaster…they must’ve used all of the seasoning on the aforementioned chicken 🤔. The taste was unlike any catfish I’ve ever had before….EVER!

The final course….Yes. Exactly! This will be both my first and last time dining at Captain B’s. Although, the cashier was absolutely delightful; just giving credit where it’s due.

Lastly, I’m not sure why all of the food have to go out in a bag, but given what I was served….a bag is beyond a suitable method of...

Up until now, I have never wanted to try frog legs until I tasted theirs. Took my Mom to lunch and tried one of hers which turned into a few and now I'm hooked. They were moist, juicy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Very fresh and well sized. Didnt too much care for the chicken wing zings. They were too salty although fresh and crispy. Also had the seafood salad which was good. Been back again for the frog legs. FYI it is CASH ONLY. Great customer service which was a plus for me. So I didn't mind coming back considering I live no where near...

Great Location. I enjoyed eating fish. I found this place online and went there. At the entrance, I received kind greetings. They had wonderful fish chips, which I tried. Definitely returning to sample their shrimp; they offer both large and regular-sized shrimp, both of which look good. Moreover, I tried their cawslow. Delicious and creamy. They're open until late. good location for a quick snack. pleasant people, clean surroundings, and good service. I'll return there...
