Omar Food Market — Local services in West Chicago Township

I have to make all my food because of allergies and mostly can’t eat premade food, so I rarely go to bodegas. I was looking for an alternate place to buy whole chicken pieces because the place I’ve been buying them leaves hazardous rib and back bones attached. I called Omar’s and they have chicken pieces. In addition to the usual bodega products, they have a small but nice selection of meats that look very fresh, as well as deli meats and cheeses. The ground beef looked nice and lean so I got some of that too. They also have fresh fruits and vegetables- again small, but fairly comprehensive. Prices seem to be increasing since pandemic last year. For instance I've an increase in a pound of chicken wings go from 3.49 to 3.99 lb since pandemic began. present while some items are reasonable some products i never heard of for cleaning i live in the neighborhood and think it's not fair business is good and they haven't been closed like most business and people are coming with and with out mask they also sell mask but since the beginning of this is pandemic they have been open 7 days a week i just wonder how much id the money is going back in...

Store is convenient for the community its very clean. Owner are very polite service is quick. Right at Austin bus line. Its really a food dessert in that area there are no real grocery store from Central Ave ( Aldi's) to Home Ave (Jewels). So this store is what people who live in that area is all they have.
