Sopes and tortillas had a sour taste, there was something wrong with the masa. Service was terrible and they took a long time to take our order and bring our food out. The food was sitting there for a while before the waitress went to get it. It seemed they were short staffed and I totally understand that, but the attitudes were horrible. When paying, my husband went up to the register, they gave him a total and he paid. As we were getting ready to leave I went and asked for a copy of the receipt and I noticed she had added the tip and never told my husband gratuity was included. I wonder how many people they do that to. I went back to the table and grabbed the tip I had left them. Once we left I went over the check again and calculated it. Writing in this review for my mom. She visited 12/26 her server was Michelle M. My mom went in with a group of 5. She was charged gratuity without any acknowledgement of it. The server even tried to just give her receipt without the itemized copy of what was charged. My mom had to ask for the itemized copy. No where on the website does it state that there is automatic gratuity. I tried to reach out to the restaurant the first day I got hung up on. The second day I was told there was no manager on duty and no time frame of went they would be back. Mediocre service, mediocre food. It has potential but it needs actual effort. If you have no where else to go (you are craving Mexican food and don't want americanized Mexican food like chipotle, taco bell or any other chain) go there. I would try it once more but it's not worth the headache...
