My review from 3 months ago is at the bottom. After contemplating on what to get my son and I for dinner I decided to give Camp Washington Chili another try. When I ordered at the drive thru speaker I asked if my bread could not be burnt as the last time and to please make sure there was meat on my sandwich. I got my son an order of cheese fries and when I checked my bag the fries were cold and soggy. I checked my bag because they always request that you bring the food back and who has time for that after working all day. I got the cashier’s attention and asked her if they could remake the fries because they were cold, and that I would come inside if I need to. She takes the fries slams them into the trash can and slams the window. By the time I walked inside the manager or owner was very apologetic and handed me more fries. I expressed to him my concern of the attitude of the employee. When I got home and bit my sandwich that I asked for extra mayo on, it looked like they ran out of mayo. I’m not going to bother calling them or going back. I think this is it for me! I’m 40 years old and remember going to camp Washington as a kid before they remodeled. As I said before it’s hit or miss. People come in to spend their hard earned money to receive an attitude when the food isn’t up to par.

This place is either hit or miss. I try to remember to check my food before I pull off but if I don’t and they mess my order up I’ll starve until I can take the food back to the store. I went and got a double decker, ham and ham, boiled egg and extra mayo. I asked over the speaker if they could make sure to put ham on the top layer of my sandwich since I’ve had issues before. The cashier said they should and came to window saying last time I probably ordered ham and egg. I know exactly what I ordered. I’ve been eating here most of my 40 years of life. I returned the same night to get my son some cheese fries since he wanted more when I got off of work. I live maybe 5 minutes from the restaurant and the fries were ice cold with a huge mound of unmelted cheese sitting on top. After being tired from working I didn’t feel like leaving back out and I microwaved them. Back to my double decker. I can’t eat a lot at once and nibble on my sandwich here and there until it’s gone. I just got the rest of my sandwich out of the fridge and took the wrapper off to put it on a plate. I just realized that the bread on the rest of the sandwich is burnt. Since I got this sandwich a couple of days ago I’m not going to bother going back. Whoever made this sandwich knew dang well that the bread was scorched when they assembled it. You never know if people are spending their last on a meal and to just give out anything is disrespectful. I didn’t receive the extra mayo but I got extra burnt I guess. Maybe it’s time to give J&J’s or somewhere else a try. I’ve stayed loyal to Camp Washington Chili over the years but the quality isn’t consistent enough to...

While reading this, please know I worked in fast food restaurants and as a waitress. I say this so you don't think, ""Well, I don't know, food service is hard."

I've come here for many years, I bring family and friends from out of town here, I recommend it to visitors. I will not be back. It's felt off for the past few years, but tonight was the nail in the coffin.

I drove 20 minutes and it was slow, so I decided to come in and order carryout and drive 20 minutes back and eat it at home.

Placed my order,l, a very pleasant floor waitress told me unless dining in, you now need a code to the bathroom. I asked up front, was told it's new - owner policy. Was less than pleased I would ask.

I asked for a refund, said I needed the bathroomand wouldjust get somethingelse on my way home., She was doing something on the computer and another woman came up, said we don't give refunds, tossed the food on the counter and told me to go. Honestly, I just wanted a refund at this point, the woman at the registers whole attitude was just so off-putting. Asked for the rootbeer no ice I ordered, she copped more attitude and got it.

Went outside and found the rootbeer no ice had ice when the lid literally just blew off- lid wasn'teven on.

So when I came back inside she immediately said we don't refund or replace spilled drinks. I said it didn't spill, but I did order my rootbeer without ice and said that the lid came off, she got hot quickly and said ordered it l ight ice, I said nonice because I habe sensitive teeth, can I just have the ice removed, then this was the reaction.

The trash can was not in front of the door less than one minute before when I came in, so I don't know if someone put it there hoping for a trip or if someone was mopping wasn't paying attention, but no one had to mop the rootbeer thst spilled, it got caught my purse and clothes.

Look- it's Camp Washington Chili- no one expects white glove service there, but i have never pulled my phone out to start recording in my life before this. I'm not trying to be overly dramatic, but I don't know what's going on and when you have multiple people literally coming at you for truly no reason in that neighborhood especially, you don't know what is going to happen and I'm not trying to end up on the news.

Feel free to read through my reviews. An experience has to be truly bad for me to give an establishment a review with one star . This one certainly took the cake and I'm sad I won't be coming in...

While trying to find a place to eat I stumbled upon what I'm sure every cincinnati native is aware one of the only 24 hr locations that serve food. I found my self walking in to the usual staff hard at work on people's food. I took a seat trying to get food and when I was approached by a waitress whom asked me what I was having this night. I ordered 2 gyros with cheese with water a simple order. Then I asked would I be able to wash my hands in the bathroom so that I may eat my food she said the room is closed and that there was nothing she could do about it, not only is this an unsanitary thing to have happen at an eating establishment but also the pure unprofessional behavior that the waitress started to exhibit after the fact was fit only for a farm.too clarify the behavior of this simple waitress is the reasoning for this In depth review. I stated that thats fine ill just have them prepare the food and get a to go box since i already told her my order. She gave me a disgusting grimace and said "i dont even wanna serve you anymore with her obvious (high calorie) attitude " order at the front". i adhered to her request and walked up to the window . For all those concerned she stated the reasoning for her disgusting attitude was because she was understaffed which will confuse you even more when you realize our waitress is the self proclaimed owner of this establishment ⚠️ alert to ALL CUSTOMERS, BE AWARE IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN HERE BEFORE THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS FAMILY OWNED the other members of the staff are relatively professional but this wom... the waitress whom later identified herself as the BOSS as she tried to display her feebly placed belief that her high calorie attitude would affect me in trying to alert someone of her outward disrespectful behavior and I would also like to add she more than likely did the least foot work in being responsible for a family business it was probably just gifted to her by her ACTUAL hard working father, but i digress.I waved down a usual respectful employee because at my previous times coming to this location (last...

This was our first time here, and I recognize that this place is famous and has been in literally hundreds of articles... Having said that, and also recognizing that it may just be what you grew up with(Dixie, Gold Star, & Skyline), the chili itself was delicious but the noodles in my five-way were bigger and softer than what I'm used to in a Cincinnati style three, four, or five way and just gave it a weird texture. Also I felt like the chili to noodle ratio was off, with me having a plate full of noodles still left after taking normal bites of chili and noodles. I think this might actually be why this restaurant has mass appeal outside of Cincinnati, the chili to noodle ratio was more what I am used to seeing in a traditional spaghetti. The chilli fries were a let down as well. The fries were actually good, but they didn't do anything to melt the cheese, and we tried letting the heat of the fries melt the cheese for a while but it never really happened, so you had 2 separate components instead of a pile of melty deliciousness. The atmosphere is quaint and fun, being that of an old school diner, service was what you expect in any decent place. I will come back to try a chess Coney and some of their deli sandwiches, but I'll skip the 3, 4, or 5 way next time.
