Funnel Cake Island — Restaurant in Cincinnati

The funnel cake was pretty good however, the customer service we received was terrible. While waiting in line patiently behind a few other customers, my seven year old and I rehearsed our order to make sure we will be able to tell him what we want as quickly as possible, and without holding up the rest of the line. Well, we get to the front of the line and tell him the toppings we would like to find out he was out of one of the toppings. At this point, my child had to figure out what other topping she would want instead, and the guy taking our order was very impatient with us. He insisted twice that we should move to the back of the line while we figure out what we want. The problem is not that we did not know what we wanted. The problem is that he was out of the topping and there was no indication of that until we got to the front of the line. Had we known that that was going to be an issue we would have corrected that while waiting. I actually rehearsed the order with my child multiple times to ensure that something like this did not happen. Maybe the business should consider putting up some type of sign or something to notify customers if toppings are out of stock before we get to the front of the line. It’s very inconsiderate to expect a child to change their mind so quickly and be willing to put us at the back of the line after we waited patiently...

I love coming to funnel cake island but after today I'm second guessing about coming back. I've never leave a bad review on anyone but today was horrible service and the gentleman was very rude and I ending up leaving because of the attitude. I will only go back when the woman are working. I understand it's 100 degrees outside and your hot but that's no reason to be rude to your customers. I was going to pay for Xtra boxes to put the toppings on the side I also brought my own just in case they didn't have anything to put it in. I didn't even leave out of the parking lot until it was gone! I ordered a funnel cake with strawberries and whipped cream. It was everything! I kept hearing how good the funnel cakes were so after a hair appt, I stopped by for a cake. There is a menu with lots of varieties and if you don't know what to get, staff will kindly recommend the popular funnel cakes purchased the most. I'm going back to try that fruity pebbles funnel cake. I love that cereal and I bet it's even better on a crunchy funnel cake with all the toppings!
