Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in Cincinnati

Terrible experience. Placed an order on July 4th and paid for it (couldn’t find anything that said they weren’t open, and nothing when we called multiple times saying they were closed, phones just rung and rung). Next night, we just tried to get them to make our order, and we’re told they couldn’t do that and we have to speak to the owner Steve Moore the next day. Now dealing with this for at least 3 days for something that should have been avoided by simply posting that they were closed, or turned off online ordering like other Penn Stations did in the area. We’re aware they’re franchised, so we thought this location decided to stay open. Extremely frustrating, and we will never use this location again. I would avoid if I were you as well. Rude employees, extremely unhelpful manager, and no one seemed to care that we were out $30 with no food. Extremely disappointing.

This location is very easy to access coming or going. Once I went inside the young lady who took my order was friendly and then I was sent to the far end of the counter to pay. I stood there for several minutes even though there were plenty of staff to handle the food prep. Once the guy (I assume the manager) who finally came to ring me up gave me my total and acted as if I was annoying him. The dining area is messy so I had to walk around looking for a semi clean booth. The soda machine was out of ice, which the staff obviously knew because they had a little tub behind the counter which they failed to offer. The bathrooms were disgusting and reeked of urine. Over all the whole location is lack luster but the food was hot and tasted good. I was actually going to leave 3 stars because of the food being tasty but tonight Penn Station has left me with a nice case of...well, I'll just say upset stomach. I won't be going back unless I'm looking to lose a few pounds with the food...

I usually don’t write reviews but my experience was too delightful not to share. We were greeted immediately by Abby who was kind, patient and personable! She made a great connection and provided excellent service and care. Then as we were paying for and receiving our order, Kathy kindly took care of us and recommended the cookie tray for my family, which was quite convenient for us! We sat down and she frequently checked on us asking how we were. She was so so kind and personable with us as well, asking my younger sisters about school and if they’re excited for break. It was like we had been friends for years! Never had such incredible service from someone before! She took our trays and always made sure we had everything we needed during our dine in.
