I ordered a bacon egg and cheese + sausage on an everything bagel. hashbrown on the side. Ordered online. Less than 3 minutes later I got a text saying the order was ready.. uh-oh. Toasting the bagel takes longer than that, let alone cooking the rest of it. When I arrived, there were 5 employees behind the counter all talking to each other; no customers. It was maybe 10am. I told the kid at the counter my name. He says, "is that your order there?" pointing to a bag which is about 10 feet away from us and is clearly easier for him to go grab. Seeing that he is not going to move, I make the walk over and very awkwardly lean my body over the display case to see my name written on the receipt in tiny letters, indicating it was my order. I grew up working in a family restaurant.. the customer should not have to go to such lengths to simply pick up an order, especially considering I was the only customer there. So, the food: I get home and begin to unwrap an absolute greasy mess. Are you kidding? I mean, I had to get paper towels it was that bad. A barely toasted sandwich with double sausage. Not bacon and sausage like I ordered. The grease had soaked into the bagel completely. And the hashbrown? A hockey puck. Probably fried at 7am and thrown under a heat lamp until I unfortunately ordered. Now I see why it was ready in under 3 minutes! They must have just slapped it together and kept their conversation going. Completely inedible food from Bagelati. PLEASE save yourself the time, money, and effort and just take the Tacony over when you need a real...
Read moreFirst time here. Place was immaculate and had lots of thoughtful details. Picked up breakfast and lunch to go. Ordered inside. Toasted french toast bagel w cinnamon raison spread was delicious. Bagel was slightly crunchy outside and soft and chewy inside. Spread was well balanced, not too much filling. Chicken salad sandwich was delicious and to my surprise came with a pickle spear and a small bag of chips! Taste of the chicken salad was on the sweeter side but overall pleasant. Smooth texture, not chunky. Leaf lettuce was fresh, tomatoes and red onion were sliced fresh and not sitting around w dull edges. All on a toasted kaiser roll. Slice of hazelnut chocolate cake for a family member said it was very good. Smooth filling, good flavors not just sweet sugar but could taste nutty and chocolate flavors on a flakey pie crust. Held up well hours later in the fridge. Tables were clean and chairs were slightly padded, comfortable and modern. Sat for a few minutes while everything was assembeled and packed. Asked for almond milk in a latte to go and asked about their plant protein to add to a smoothie for next time. Even the plastic cutlery is thoughtful; it includes a wet napkin and is branded with their locations and business name. On my way out sat at a different spot to check my items and look for my keys and looked like bathrooms were handicap friendly and large. Lots of seating options. Will...
Read moreNo respect for Americans w Disabilities Act rights. Also, you have to fight now to make an ordsr. I'm disabled and walking is very painful, so i went to the nearest register to order breakfast like every other time. I used to love eating the food here. After being ordered by a supervisor to take my order, the cashier decided not to list gluten free flavors, and lost interest entirely by the time i had ordered 1 item. The supervisor made me shout my order, which is unsafe for me because I'm trans and don't have time for voice therapy. He then made the 1 item, having also lost interest in taking my order. Cashier took 2 entire orders from ppl who walked in after me, forcing me to elevate my voice again to clarify that i would like to make an order (should not have been an issue to begin with). She said "you can come over here", which is incredibly disrespectful to begin with, and federally illegal. I wasn't going to explain my medical situation shouting across the restaurant to someone who does not want to take my order, so i paid for the shake and left. Would rate all previous orders 5 stars but this was demeaning, frustrating, humiliating and made me feel distinctly unsafe after i drove in from out of town for their food. Probably won't bother next time because I'm not fighting to give people money...
