VALUE Great bang for your buck at this buffet. I've been coming to this location for years. When I'm craving seafood like crawfish, crabs, clams, oysters and sushi, this is the go-to local spot. Although it isn't incredible fine dining, it hits the spot for cheap! Plus, it seems like they recently took their sushi bar to the next level. More sushi they didn't have before like the eel. HOW BUSY It's calm/nearly dead on the weekdays and gets fairly busy with large families with dozens of kids in tow on the weekends. STAFF And the staff, although attentive to clearing plates, are constantly having loud conversations 4 steps away in their own language and glancing (or just as often staring shamelessly hard) at us during their convos. It feels like the servers are miserable to be working, which is true at nearly all service jobs, but they don't even pretend to put on a front here and smile once in awhile. They're also get noticeably annoyed if they don't think they got the tip they deserved. One waitress made a biting comment at me in her own language at the end of an unpleasant meal. They get the tip they deserve. It's all frowns round here and it's consistently like this probably 4 out of every 5 visits every year. Occasionally I do get a very sweet server that smiles at least once, is picking up just as many empty plates as the rude servers and isn't glaring at me and I tip those servers much better because they deserve it for the good service.

UPDATE!! I had always loved this place but beware it's for the safety of your health. We found a roach sauteed in the lo mein on Saturday, it was our second plate and there it was. The manager didn't charge us of course but he said something disturbing he said.. The exterminator comes every week, the kitchen was closed for a year. I thought to myself was does an exterminator have to come every week and why are roaches in there!! I didn't make a scene I was so shocked and I didn't want them to loose business but it's only right to report this to the department of health. Because it's for the safe health of others. --------_------------------------++++++++ This place has been opens for years and they are always clean, the food is fresh, the price is great $11.99 lunch buffet and $17.99 dinner. Most of all the customer service is great and they have large multi stall bathrooms. It never looks run down. Also the hibachi grill chef is amazingly fast!! Cheers to the chef!

Please save your money and get something that hasn’t been sitting out for days. The food is beyond old and disgusting. I nicely told the waitress the food was just not good and I would pay for my drink and leave a tip of course. She said okay and she’d be back with the bill. After waiting 10 minutes I got up to leave due to the fact I felt so sick. I was stopped at the door and asked to wait while they check the cameras to see what I ate… what kind of customer service is that? I told Them I needed to leave immediately before I got sick and about 8 employees chased me outside like dogs. I told them to call the police with any issues. I went to the police station myself and showed them that picture of that horrifying food and I was allowed to leave, DO NOT EAT HERE. HOW HAS THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT ALLOWED THEM TO GO ON THIS LONG

I never thought I'd have to write a long and terrible review for a place I've been visiting and eating at since I was literally a kid but today was one of the worst experiences I've ever had and it's caused me to never come back here ever again by my own choice.

Note: after 9pm you HAVE TO PAY UPFRONT BEFORE BEING SEATED!

The prices have fluctuated so high from their typical $14 to almost $18 a person (adult pricing after 9pm for Dinner), their drinks costing $2.49 from their original $1.99 a person, and now they charge for leftovers (if you do NOT FINISH YOUR FOOD YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR YOUR SCRAPS AND UNEATEN FOOD ITEMS "Charged as TAKEOUT PRICES based off weight of food leftover")

Make sure you inform the employee that takes your card and seats you what you SPECIFICALLY ORDERED TO DRINK AND HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IN YOUR PARTY/TABLE, my table of 2 ADULTS we specifically asked for 1 Pepsi (soda) and 1 water (unknown charge)... they had charged us for 2 Pepsis and 1 water, then proceeded to ask us if we were seated for 3 people not 2. No there was no miscommunication we clearly had stated 2 adults only and 1 Pepsi and 1 water.

Infestation? Roaches, definitely. Rats or mice or any rodents? Unsure. Roaches were spotted near tables where people ate. There's a chance there will be roaches near the food as well... reading other reviews for this buffet I wouldn't be shocked as they clearly state there are roaches everywhere.

Pros: Decent sushi, it's not a restaurant so don't expect spectacular sushi dishes, however if the fish looks a little too green or discolored and it's slimy... please avoid it. Other foods.

Cons: Prices. Communication between waitresses/waiters and employees. Please make sure both customer and employee understand what you want and what's being charged for anything if you come here. You don't want to have to dispute anything. Massively unclean and nasty bathrooms and bug infestation near eating areas. Poor variety of foods to eat; after a certain time (more after 8pm) they will not be making any new foods for the night. What's out to eat is whatever is there for the night. Charges for unfinished food/plates. While it's completely understandable to be unhappy wasting food, but it is entirely up to what the employees CONSIDER unfinished food and you will be charged immediately for "wasted foods". Eat what you can eat; do not get something you don't think you can finish. This goes for your kids as well. If your obvious CHILD/CHILDREN even look or are either OVER THE AGE OF 10 YEARS OLD or LOOK OVER 5 FEET TALL, they WILL BE CHARGED AS ADULT PRICING. They state this on their pricing headboard at the entrance!

Do I recommend coming here? Maybe 2-3 years ago with the low prices for the cheap food you'd eat here and cheap per person prices no matter what time it was; yes. Now? Hell no. NO. I absolutely don't recommend eating here even if you're on a budget. Going to the Applebee's in Cherry Hill is way CHEAPER and way worth more for what you paid and ate, I wish I ate there instead of...

The food is okay, but the service is trash, just like a lot of people are saying. There was a waitress who was very agitating that came to our table and asked "ready to pay?" And we weren't even done yet. We usually go to the front to pay. She put her hand out and I gave her my card. I became worried when she was gone for a while with my card. I thought she messed up the transaction because she seemed overwhelmed and had a stack of other cards and bills and checks in her hand when she came by our table. She came back and returned my card and said "sign here" on the check and I did. She wasn't happy with the tip amount I gave her so she pointed to the higher tip amount suggested on the check. She then asked about the tip I gave her and I said yes, it's correct and she said something under her breath in Chinese. She was very rude. We were rushed and if she wasn't happy with the tip amount, she should take it up with her employer to pay her fair wages. It shouldn't fall on the customers to pay these employees especially for bad service and being made uncomfortable. The food is okay. The ice cream station is very unsanitary because they have buckets of ice cream that people shove their arms into and the ice cream scoopers are just marinating in a nasty bowl of water. I also don't understand why the flan has this weird brownish green color? And the flan sits in the same station as the salads, which is quite weird. Shouldn't it be with the desserts? I don't think we'll be coming back. The experience we had was pretty bad. It reminds me of the bad experience we had at the ruby buffet and we completely boycotted that place because of how nasty the waitress was. I guess we just have to find a new Chinese...

Worst open buffet I had ever had before. Worst open buffet I had ever had before. This is a lousy buffet you can see, terrible, and the buffet is dirty. I went with my family after we ate a salad buffet. The first thing I ate was the Oyster; it was rotten. After that, I went to bring sushi, so I found many flies mosquitoes inside the sushi and stayed on the top of the sushi, so I pushed them away. After that, I went to my family and told them to stop eating because my child has allergies to flies. And I told the manager that I needed to go after I explained what I saw, she told me you needed to pay, then I explained to her that I didn't eat and I just stayed only ten minutes, so she refused that and told me that i needed to pay the whole bill for my family and me. Then she watched the video that I was in a buffet sushi bar and tried to keep the flyers away. She told me no, you could eat something else, and I told her I would not pay anything. Then I called the police, and the policeman came inside the restaurant and told her that I am respect man because that I could go away, but he stayed. When my kids saw the police, they started to cry, I refused to pay anything, but because my kids were still crying, I paid for them. After 20 min, I paid for my two kids. After we returned home, my kid had a sharp pain in her stomach. It's the worst restaurant I have ever seen. Worst manager, worst employees. I will make a claim against them soon. I am surprised that the manager saw me when i tried to keep the flyers away from the bar and told me I could eat...
