It was terrible. Clean place but staff and service was far from hospitable. Mike L. Jr. was very rude and he is the manager. After explaining to him that one of our two pizzas took an additional 30 mins more than our first he just ignored the problem. Very CONTRADICTIVE to Mike saying he would fix the problem. So after getting nothing at all but a sarcastic apology I asked for the gm hours so I could talk to him but he said he couldn't give out that information to me. Now in any other restaurant this information is giving out freely like its public knowledge but mike feels its top secret....to me (the customer with a complaint against him). I still haven't got his hours...just sarcasm, rudeness, dereliction of duty and according to my uncle who is a lawyer for Ross county Discriminated against considering he wouldn't provide me and me alone with GM hours. The pizza was way overpriced and we sat the entire time waiting on refills an no one attempting to even see if we needed anything but when I told Mike that he then, after dinner and leaving the restaurant, informed us it was a self serve....good info before running out of five drinks at our table. But I'm assuming that's top secret Intel just like when The GM is working next. So I assure you your dining experience will be far from pleasurable or relaxing in the least. At best, tolerable, IF you have more patience than the average...
Read moreI called several months in advance to reserve the party room at the Circleville location for a rehearsal dinner with family coming in from out of town. I called three different times to confirm that the date and time was still good. The last call was two weeks prior to the date. Once again , I was told that they have our name in the book. We arrive at the scheduled date and time only to find out that there is a larger party already in the room. I speak to the manager and explained that there were three calls to them to confirm. All three calls were confirmed date and time and I was told they have me down in the book. The manager then informs me that our party can join the other group in the room. We asked if there were any additional accommodations that could be made and that we sit elsewhere. We were told that there was a wait and they couldn't help us. Then the manager showed me " a book" for scheduling and there were no names for the reservation for the party room. Including the group that had taken it over. At that point we decided that they do not deserve our business and we left to go elsewhere. Very disappointed in how all this was handled from management. We've eaten there in the past and enjoyed it at that time. This being the reason to go back. We definitely will...
Read moreI called to speak to someone about allergens in their food. I asked about a specific menu item and if it contained eggs. I was told "I don't think so". I pushed further and told her that when it comes to allergens, that's not exactly a good enough answer. I requested she double check, which she went on to explain they only add water to their dough mix. She declined checking the dough mix because it was a flour consistency. I hung up. I called the pickerington location to ask about the allergens and was told that the crust does, in fact, have egg as an ingredient. The person that initially answered at Pickerington took the time to get a manager or someone more familiar with the ingredients to check. Thank goodness they did!
I ordered food for everyone except the individual with allergies from the circleville restaurant (the person with allergies got food somewhere else). The food itself was good and we were happy with it. I expect better from an establishment in 2024. I expect allergens to be listed on a menu online for a company with as many locations as Pizza Cottage. At the very least, I expect there to be a safe protocol in place to actually check for a customer when they ask about an...
