Take Out Only Opinion
Eating in I have no issues and they're usually pretty quick compared to other roosters.
The take out tho! I'm not sure if they just really don't care or if they're just THAT cheap. They could have chose MANY ways to go about how they treated my order but they decided to go with the cheapest way possible. I've waited to make this review, bc i know sometimes ship happens lol, but this is the 3rd time they've done what they wanted (like ignoring specifications, forgetting sauce on the side or leaving out other items requested) instead of what is asked upon ordering and I'm just over it. Im not gonna call and complain bc it's not like they'll bring me my food and I'm not driving back. Ill take it as a loss and not choose them next time. But I'd like others who want to order out to know what ti expect. Don't waste your time unless you want to open all the boxes and go over it before you leave.
What happened (if anyone cares lol): I ordered 4 roosters nests tonight and some other food. I live 15/20 minutes away so im aware it's not going to be piping hot when I get home to eat it, but as a whole, the food was cold and hard, as in, not fresh. This usually isn't an issue with roosters nest fries bc they normally have a cheese SAUCE on the fries under the usually UNDERSAUCED wings to cover the fact that they never actually make the fries to order. (Seriously though, this roosters acts like if they actually sauce the whole wing, on the rooster nest, itll destroy their food cost.) Forget asking for sauce on the side because thatll NEVER happen either. Im gonna guess they ran out of their cheese sauce and someone, with a lack of fake shredded cheese knowledge, decided to place it on the mediocre warm fries. Putting all their hopes and dreams into thinking it would actually melt. So now I got hard fries and cold shredded cheese on top of undersauced wings. This meal is dryer than a popeyes biscuit! So you'd think..."I'm out of an important ingredient that goes on all 4 of these meals maybe ill CALL THE CUSTOMER"! It takes 5 second to see if they want something else. NOPE. Not to mention, if they already knew they were out it's not like they aren't across the street from a Walmart where they could buy more cheese sauce if they don't want to take it off the menu. But nahhhh, they're take out so we don't care about them and it's gonna show in the quality of food we send out. I'm just saying, I don't want a refund and I don't want a replacement (I'd have to use my own gas to get). I just want them to realize their take out customers matter too. So maybe act like it and at least call the customer if you're out of something that's vital to their meal. That's how you keep customers 101. I've done it when I worked take out at a restaurant I PROMISE YOU it's really not that hard. I personally built up a customer base during the slowest time of day by knowing how to treat your customers and giving them nothing short of quality food and this right here ain't how you do it! Also, if your customer is buying multiple meals and spending over $50 they deserve to at least be informed before accepting the food that you didn't have all the advertised...
Read moreI visited with a group of 4 on a Friday night. It was pretty busy, had a short wait to be seated. The hostess was very friendly and pleasant. I had the wings and for being the places signature item they were barely luke warm and swimming in so much oil the hot sauce barely stuck to them, literally a 1/4 inch of oil in the bottom of my basket. Wings tend to hold there heat when cooked properly so it was clear that they were not fully cooked (probably because the place was so busy?) My Father in laws sandwich did not make it to the table in time, our server said she would be right back with it then another server stopped by and said it had been mistakenly delivered to the wrong table. When it was finally delivered the rest of us were finished eating and he asked for a box, a clear sign that it was too late, then we had to ask for a manager because he did not think he should have to pay full price. The manager came and was really nice about it and took the full price of the sandwich off of the bill. The Front of the house staff was great and seemed to be organized and on top of it. I would suggest taking a hard look at the Kitchen operations with a simple menu like that there is some kind of break down in the kitchen. The other reviews i have read were sort of similar so cold food and screw ups are common, if any one cared to do it it would be an easy thing to improve. This was my first visit and i am not likely to return and will certainly not recommend this to...
Read moreWe stopped at Roosters for a quick lunch. It was a while since we'd been there and we were pleased at the changes to the menu. Ann ordered the Quesadillas and, at the suggestion of Christine, our waitress, I got the Italian pizza. Ann got unsweet iced tea which was freshly brewed and nice and strong. I just ordered water with lots of limes. Christine brought me water and, unlike most servers, an entire cup of lime slices!! Our food arrived shortly after. The quesadillas were fairly mundane but had good flavor which would have been helped by some homemade salsa instead of the bottled stuff. Some hot queso cheese on top of everything would have raised the bar considerably. The pizza was surprisingly excellent. A thin, crispy crust with just the right amount of chewiness along the edges. The toppings were fresh and plentiful. The real star of our visit was Christine. She stopped by the table numerous times, asked if everything was good and if we needed anything. She brought new drinks before ours were two thirds empty. We're looking forward to our next trip where I'll try the "The Works" pizza. ...or the meat lovers. ...or the buffalo chicken. ...or their...
