Easter Brunch was a big disappointment. During our time there, the only hot food at all was from the made to order omelet bar. All of the food had good flavor, but was not kept at a palatable temperature and was certainly not at a safe temperature for setting out. When I mentioned it to our waitress, her response was that I should have told somebody.
The customer service was poor at best. No staff checking on us. We had to flag down staff members to get coffee refills (which was copiously spilled into our saucers) because our server never came back after I told her about the temperature of the food.
I was very disappointed in watching disabled customers seated in the dining room that was the farthest away from the buffet.
When we were seated, I presented a Groupon that has absolutely no exclusions in the fine print and was told it couldn't be used today. I sure wish I didn't have a Groupon that I no longer wish to use... And when we got the bill, a 20% gratuity was added into the total. That is not acceptable to me. I am usually a heavy tipper, but not today.
Today could have been a great experience. The food would have been great at a safe temperature and the customer service could easily been acceptable with...
Read moreThis is a nice restaurant and bar.... Located in a dead zone of North Highlands where no other bars exist. It's located inside the old McCllean AFB. You probably don't ever pass by it or have reason to stop by, but this place has consistently had good food since I started working in the area 2 years ago. I highly recommend the steak salad, that is my favorite dish. I was very recently diagnosed with Celiac disease, and when some friends and I made plans to meet here after work, I called ahead to speak with the chef to see if they could accommodate me. The chef was very pleasant and kind, and she took the time to talk me through the options and risks of cross contamination with different foods and dishes. In the end I ordered the shrimp tacos, prepared off the grill so they wouldd be gluten free, and those tacos were delicious!! They food is always good here, and the bar might be a little lacking in the wine selection, but overall it is a full service bar, and has everything you need. It's really difficult to be gluten free on my end and I'm sure it's annoying for restaurants and staff. Thank you Officer's Club for making the effort to...
Read moreIf this place weren't inside the hotel at McClellan where there isn't really anything else, they would go under very quickly. The tall blond bar tender is trying his best, but the server on duty name Miguel is terrible. When I first came to the podium to be seated he plodded right past me like I was in the way. At first I thought I had only mistaken him for an employee- but nope. After I had been standing there being ignored for several minutes the bar tender seated me. Miguel didn't come to my table for at least 10 minutes, and then only AFTER the bar tender literally pointed me out to him. But do you know what Miguel did do without prompting? He greeted a customer that had a drink in her hand like he knew her.
The food is edible, but not good enough to make up for the service. However they cut my pasta up like I am 2 years old. Who does that?! It was also slightly over cooked, the cream sauce was pretty much just butter, and the bread was stale. If it hadn't been nearly 8pm I would have walked out long before I got my food. Best part is that I was literally the only person in the...
