The food here is okay, and one of the servers (an older gentleman) was incredibly kind and attentive. Unfortunately, the older woman working there completely ruined the experience. This happened last summer, but it was so bad I still feel the need to warn others now.
Iâm Laotian, and my family lived in Thailand for a time. I know the culture, and people from Laos and Thailand do not act like this. When I went up to the register to pay, she kept yelling âHuh?!â at me, rolling her eyes, and kept smirking because she knows what she is doing. She wouldnât even let me finish a sentence. When I asked nicely for a takeout box, she snapped âGet it yourself!â
I was on a date with my boyfriend, wearing a simple white dress, and it honestly felt like she was jealous and treated me like I was a streetwalker. She didnât treat other guests this way, which made it even more obvious. Even the Doordashers stared awkwardly at how unprofessional she was. Sheâs lucky Iâm not the type to film or yell back, I was so stunned I didnât know how to react. We didnât tip, just rushed out.
On top of that, she overcharged us for the seafood curry by several dollars. The atmosphere was awful too: dead silent, no music, no fan, hot and dry, and completely empty for the first 30 minutes until doordashers came in.
The food may be good, but that womanâs vile, hostile behavior made me never want to return. If sheâs working, avoid this place.
Edit: I noticed the ownerâs reply saying I was âslanderingâ them. To be clear, this review is based on my personal experience from last summer, and everything I shared is true to what happened to me. I still remember it vividly, and my boyfriend, who was with me, remembers the older woman yelling at me across the restaurant. It was shocking then, and itâs disappointing to see the response now. I stand by...
Read moreI came to Manna Thai and have to say, Iâm really impressed with the flavors here. I was honestly a little scared to drive over in 113 degree weather, but surprisingly, it wasnât an issue at all once I got here. The place was comfortably air conditioned. The spice kick is perfect just enough heat so you can enjoy all the flavors in the peppers, onions, and sauce without anything getting lost.
The biggest surprise for me was the papaya salad. Normally, I canât even take the smell or taste of papaya salad, and Iâve tried it in many places over the years. But this one? Easily the best papaya salad Iâve had since 2012. It completely changed my mind.
Next up, the cashew nut chicken absolutely delicious. I ate it so fast I didnât even have time to find the words to describe it.
And then thereâs the sausage. This is something you have to try for yourself. The flavor is incredible, and the presentation alone makes you want to dig in. You can tell itâs made in house, authentic, and homemade just by looking at it.
Iâll definitely be coming back not just for new dishes, but to enjoy these favorites all over again. Thank you, Owner Ya...
Read moreWent in last week for the first time with my friend and donât see any customer at the table. No music either. Just quite dead. Can hear each other âbreathingâ. Greeting wasnât warm and not as welcoming. Next customer comes in 5 mins later and got a different welcoming. Higher energy and repeatedly greeting them.
Inside was a little muggy at 6:30pm. Need to turn on some cool air. Not comfortable sitting there when we are breathing a warm air. It was 90 degree day. Must be trying to conserve energy.
I try the noodle soup and the taste was okay. Price on the noodle soup is pretty high though. No veggie was offered. Cup of water had a little amount of ice and melted quickly. Never got an ice refill for my water to stay cool. Didnât not have an ice cold water on a hot day to feel refresh.
After I walk up to pay, there was no âthank youâ. Customer service is not good and need to work on providing good service to people. My friend had the same thoughts and we probably wonât be going back...
