Mi Tierra Latina — Restaurant in Citrus Park

Tried this place for the first time and loved it! I was craving black beans and rice and fried breaded steak, Latin style like mom always made, and they got this down pat! Huuuge flat steak perfectly breaded and fried but not greasy. Black beans were seasoned and cooked to perfection, the white rice was perfectly steamed and seasoned as well. Everything paired to satisfy my cravings. I also added a fried egg on top and that just sent it all over to blissfulness. Say YES to the little green sauce cup they offer you (i forgot the name of it). It's a tiny bit spicy, but also lemony and a flavor i don't really know how to describe other than it made the meat taste even more amazing. It gave it an interesting little kick. I also tried the cheese and coconut flan. Both were delicious and the perfect ending to my meals. By the way, there was so much food in the package i was able to eat for dinner as well. So two meals for the price of one can't be beat! So on top of all this, their customer service was fantastic. The guy who helped me was super friendly, made great recommendations and had everything ready for me when i walked in (i called ahead). I was in and out in less than 5 minutes even with adding the flan. I'm so glad i discovered this place so close to work, I've added it to my regular lunch rotation. I can't wait for another...

HOLY $H!+!!!!! THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO THIS RESTAURANT BEFORE AND FOUND IT BY ACCIDENT. I HAD THE CHICHARRONS FOR MY APPETIZER. THEY WERE WARM TENDER NUGGETS OF PORK AND FAT, PERFECTLY SEASONED. I DIPPED THEM IN RANCH FROM MY SALAD AND THERE HOME MADE CHIMICHARI SAUCE. " YOU COULD POUR THAT SAUCE ON A OLD LEATHER BOOT AND IT WOULD TASTE DELICIOUS!!" FOR MY LUNCH I HAD THE PORK LOIN IN MUSHROOM SAUCE WITH RICE ,SWEET PLANTAINS & SALAD. THIS WAS ENOUGH FOOD FOR 2 PEOPLE. I HAD TO TAKE HALF OF IT HOME WITH ME. IF YOU ARE IN THE AREA COME BY AND TRY THIS PLACE. HECK, EVEN IF YOUR NOT IN THE AREA MAKE IT A ROAD TRIP. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED. MY TOTAL BILL WITH A JUPINA TO DRINK WAS UNDER $20. P.S. IF YOU CAN ASK FOR PAOLA. SHE WAS MY SERVER AND SHE WAS ALMOST AS GOOD AS THE FOOD. GLASSES WERE ALWAYS FULL AND IF YOU NEEDED ANYTHING YOU HAD IT BEFORE YOU COULD ASK FOR IT!!!

Absolutely incredible beef stew with two sides (I had red beans & rice and fried plantains) for under $10!! Want to try everything on the menu eventually.

One night I ran here from the Circle K I work out and tried paying with a Visa gift card my boss gave me but was told they don't take gift cards and I was being difficult about it. Ran back to work and ran back with cash because whether hail, rain, sleet, snow...gift card wasn't going to stop me from getting the gastronomical delight I had already anticipated!!

In case you're reading this and didn't know this already make sure you have another way to pay other than a gift card. I would have happily and greedily dug a hole outside in the grass searching for gold if it had...
