Walked in, shown to a table and ignored. Waited 10 minutes.... walked out. Nice Pub next door. Was greeted and my order taken almost immediately. You asked for a response, so here it is... I was at the Hyatt next door on Fri Oct 11th and wanted dinner & a drink. At about 8 PM, I walked into your establishment and was greeted by the hostess.I remarked that it seemed very noisy so she placed me at a table on the right side near the kitchen window. It was not busy in the dining area. There were only a few occupied tables between the tanks/bar and the kitchen window. She gave me the menus and left. After making my selections for a drink & meal, I put down the menus and waited. Nothing. No staff except for a lone waitress who made a few trips to the kitchen window next to me. The hostess walked around, spent some time at the bar but did not approach me. I looked for a waitress but there was nobody. After 10 minutes, I spotted the hostess, made a sign that I had been waiting uselessly...
Read moreI was looking forward to eating here based on the great reviews, but was majorly disappointed. We stopped in after the CrossFit Games, fully understanding they might be busier than usual. We ordered three pizzas—two cauliflower crust, one regular—and waited an hour and a half with no food in sight.
When we checked in, multiple servers told us they had “no clue when anything was coming out.” Since we had a long drive ahead, we decided to pay for our drinks and cancel the pizzas. Unfortunately, the female bartender’s rudeness, hostility, and snarky remarks were shocking. We approached the situation calmly and apologetically, but she escalated it, arguing as though we were inconveniencing her for simply canceling an order that likely would’ve taken two hours to arrive.
I understand places get busy, but two hours for food with zero communication is unreasonable. What could have been an easy, respectful exit turned into an unprofessional and...
Read moreLove the space, location, and variety of beer. From there, for me personally, it goes downhill.
No dedicated parking so expect to pay the meters or get a ticket.
98% of their beer comes in 13 ounce pours. I asked and was given a vague answer about experience and smell/tase rather than the normal abv differences. A 5 % beer should be a pint. I fully understand imperial and high abv's. Just seems like a money grab.
Cannot comment of the taste of the food but rather the lack of offerings, specifically for vegans. The veggie burger has egg, the fries and chips are vegetarian not vegan, and even the mustard for the pretzel (which I'm assuming has butter) has egg in it! Why does mustard need egg?!?
Really want this place to work and last as it's close to work for me and downtown albany and love the vibe...but not sure how often I'll be a patron because of the lack of food offerings and other options...
