In town for a concert, and craving Mexican food. My dining companion and I found El Mariachi, and their menu had just what we were craving. Walking into the restaurant we noticed how clean and lovely it is - Beautifully decorated for Christmas as well. Immediately after seating we received complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was a quite tasty chipotle salsa. We both ordered the El Mariachi Margarita which was very, very good! We opted to start with the Chili con Queso with added Chorizo. The portion is definitely enough for four to share, but we managed to finish it between the two of us. It was delightfully cheesy and delicious! For my main course I ordered the enchilada plate. It’s my go-to dish I crave! I requested one chicken and one cheese enchilada with red sauce, and extra sour cream on the side. Wow! What an amazing plate of deliciousness! Both enchiladas were blanketed in red sauce which clearly was made properly with dried chilies - no skimping on sauce which makes this diner very happy. The rice was the best I’ve had in a Mexican restaurant. The rice was seasoned wonderfully, was moist, and not dry. The black beans were quite good. Nicely seasoned, and a nice accompaniment to the plate. Service was perfect. Our server was friendly and polite. She definitely has great timing! Our water was never empty either as a very nice gentleman made sure we had water as needed. Overall, we left stuffed and very happy. Such a wonderful restaurant! Be sure to give them a try knowing one will not be disappointed.

My boyfriend and I ordered through DoorDash (12/30/2022) . I would just like to clarify that when we got our order from the DoorDash driver, the order/bag was secured and unopened. We ordered an order of tamales, an order of menudo, three asada tacos and three lengua tacos. Upon eating the tacos, we found hair so I called the restaurant as well as DoorDash. DoorDash told me to contact the restaurant. So when I contacted the restaurant, a polite woman answered the phone, heard my concern and then transferred me to the manager. From being on hold to the manager answering the phone took around five minutes. I explained my concerns to the manager and she told me that it was DoorDash problems. I once more reiterated the issue and she told me that DoorDash was the one to deal with. This was our very first time dealing with this restaurant (and most definitely last time dealing with them), and we weren't even really looking for any compensation but some responsibility instead, which we got neither. Providing the pictures of hair in our food. Please be careful because the woman I spoke to said she was the "owner" but I highly doubt that. The owner of a restaurant they were proud of would have offered something in return after I was so polite and patient. Pictures provided below. Also, the DoorDash website (provided by their restaurant) has their tamales topped with salsa and cotija cheese but in person the tamales are topped with (unexpected) mole. Save your tastebuds and money and make at home! (Pictures provided below!!!!!). We are mostly upset because there was hair in our food and we could not eat what we ordered. There was no sympathy from the "owner" from hair being in our food.

Decided to try these folks. Not busy during lunch was a warning sign I ignored. :( Chicken taco (yes only one, with beans and rice for about $11) disappointing, chicken tasted dried out, small chopped thin pieces. Negative vibe on menu descriptions on the lunch menu, many items said “no rice or beans with this item.” Can it be that much more to provide a bit during lunch, add a buck to the price. Free chips and salsa good start, cold chips tasted bland and not fresh. Upon receiving the check (not before) a note is attached that says credit cards will incur an additional fee, a fee that restaurant must pay. This townhouse like building has a bar, main level, and nice outdoor rear yard area. Bigger than it looks. If I lived near it, it would be my place for drinks with friends. Good exercise obtained by going to top floor for the restrooms. 😊 Great alcohol type drinks. Staff was nice, quick, and professional. 🍹

The service here was amazing, we were promptly seated, promptly served, and promptly brought drinks. Our food came out quickly and our chips and salsa were replenished quickly when we needed more. There were a variety of vegetarian options though many included mushrooms (I have an allergy) and many included cheese/weren't vegan, but I dont think that's unexpected for a mexican restaurant. I did find it to be pricey compared to other restaurants in the area. This was somewhat compensated for in the portion sizes, which were generous, however I found the rice and beans to be somewhat bland. Regardless, I'd like to return and give another dish a try!

$24 for one ruined taco is not worth even worth the hassle. Honestly, its sad that I wont be ordering from here anymore. 1/5 orders come out correctly. The menu is a mess because its constantly changing throughout the day, so orders get mixed up. Almost all of the food I receive is burned, but once in a blue moon the food is some of the best Ive ever tried. But to spend the amount of $$ on usually ruined orders, I sadly have to say this is a place I WILL be avoiding in the future. If even at least ONE order was even partially refunded, I would have given them another chance. (photo is an ACTUAL container "fresh" from delivery)
