Fatty's Uptown — Restaurant in City of Albany

To find the words to describe the food I was just indulging myself in, I need to look deep within the depths of the Hudson valley and the beautiful nature it has to offer. From the flat lands of Saugerties to the booming yet somehow underwhelming metropolis Albany could be described as. Food of such caliber can only be compared to the finest art found in the Louve. On the outside, Fattys seems like your run in the mill, hole in the wall, burger shop in Albany. But when you step inside your met with a kind young man in a blue shirt who proceeds to hand you what can only be described as the food of the gods. From the divine cows slaughtered in order to provide such fruitfully meat, to the wheat fields that have fostered the perfect crispy buns, each component of my Fattys Hangover Helper is nothing less than perfection. Second pie from Fatty's over the past month or so, and it wasn't a fluke the first time: the pizza here is absolutely fantastic, and consistently so. Delightful thin-crust, with a bit of chew and crunch. The toppings are of high quality, and the ratio of toppings to cheese to sauce is spot on. The sauce is a real standout - you can taste the freshness and it's not overly seasoned. Delivery was prompt and pleasant. I haven't been in person, but I will remedy that in the future, as there's a good bar next door and I'm curious about some of their slice offerings (and they have arancini). Some of the best pizza we've ever had, anywhere! Growing up on LI and close to NYC, I was spoiled with great pizza all around. Now, living in the Berkshires, we have some excellent pizza spots too. But for a classic pizza, this is the spot - it was as good as it gets! Also, worth an important note, that is a family-owned business and I went in with 3 kids and they treated us like family. We ordered 7 slices that had been sitting at the counter thinking it would be good enough but they didn't think so, so without even saying anything they baked us a fresh pie knowing we'd all enjoy it more and it was wonderful!
